DW#4 = Charlie Ward

I don't particularly like comparing present players to former players (regardless off who they played for), but DW#4 reminds me a lot of former FSU quarterback Charlie Ward. First, Ward was a very high character person.....just a great individual.....very humble. His demeanor on the field was just like Watson's.....always calm and collective and acted like the game was just slow to him....everything in slow motion. When he passed he never looked like her was throwing hard, but he had plenty of zip on the ball. He may have been a little faster than Watson, but he was very elusive and no one ever seemed to get a direct shot on him.

Best of all and I hope they resemble each other in his way.....Ward won the Heisman...and believe it or not, I think was the only Heisman winner not to be drafted by the NFL (extenuating circumstances, of course).

I think that is the reason he wasn't drafted.....the NFL was going from about 12 rounds down to 7 rounds for the draft and no team was going to waste a pick on someone they know was not going to play.

I think he made a comment like "he didn't want to play in the NFL because he felt he was a first round draft pick"...
