So many of them were the haters and the doubters wanting to watch Clemson choke it away against the Orange. I hope they all had fender benders and bit their tongues on the way home from Haterville.

Nothing would please fans of any team which is capable of getting a playoff seed. We're i their way. I remember the feeling. Somebody's got to lose for Clemson to get a good bowl game. We spent many years watching FUS, Miami, VT or even Maryland getting those bowl games.

This is where we have ESPN & the national liberal media by the short hair...we deliver great games and audience ratings cause folks (regular folks) like us and Dabo and how our kids act on and off the field so they watch! Except to cover up the ratings they have no ammunition and we cary the big gun...Lets just keep winning and see how often we get televised...we have Clemson on more out here in the Pineywoods of East Texas than UT or A&M! Viewers drive revenue and $$$...where was the SEC!

My feeling is that people saw or heard that Clemson was down two scores going into the 4th quarter, and they wanted to see us get beat by cuse, well it didn't happen, and they got duped in a big way, hahahahahahahahahaha to the losers!!!!!

Fans of lower-ranked teams tuned in to see a top-dog lose.

I do the same thing all the time-- especially if I see an upset (score) in the making. I'm always hoping to see the other top-dogs get upset (and maybe help Clemson to a playoff berth).
Fortunately, Clemson disappointed about 4.2M of the 4.7M who tuned in.

I beg to differ. There's no doubt about it. They all just love us.

...wanting to see us possibly lose. Hey, I'll watch the coot game just to pull for their opponent...it's a thing. But I think for the most part, people just enjoy watching Clemson play. The games are almost always interesting, our crowd is unequaled, The Rock/Hill entrance, Dabo is the man and we always field elite talent. In some ways, Clemson has become "America's Team"...accessible and likeable. Very unlike the roboticized product Bama tends to put on the field.
We got the primetime 8:00 games, 3 Saturdays IN A ROW then the national nooner the week after that. Now the next one at ND will be a primetime game....unheard of. As a fellow that's been around Tiger football since the 70's, it blows my mind!

Probably means at least 1 more nooner in November to try and use Clemson to get eyes on a game vs inferior competition (Louisville, Miami, USuC)

You can be sure onlookers with the deep pockets that are fueling the expansion discussions are taking notice. It's just more clear evidence Clemson belongs in the upper tier of college football be that the SEC or B1G.
