Of course he picks Dobbs, he played for Tenn! No bias there....but anyway it'll be clear when the season is over who the best QB will be and it certainly won't be Dobbs.

Bold move here, seeing as Dobbs had just over half the passing yards despite having a WR corps stacked with 5* recruits, as well as just over half the rushing yards

Yea right , if you're the Coach and you had to pick between DW and Dobbs. You know you pick DW4, why even lie and say some stupid chit like you would take Dobbs. What an idiot

What a turd....he did great with the Redskins, didn't he? I will give the UT quarterback this; he will run up a ton of stats against the cluckers and Commadores and that's about it...the way this will come down, Watson winner, Kelly runner up...and then everybody else....Shuler must be trying his luck as a comedian since he was such a bad pro QB

Yea, this is a reach by TNet to drum up controversy IMO.
A former Tennessee QB said he would take Tennessee's current QB (who's good, though not on the same level as Watson) over anyone else. He didn't specify Watson, or any other QB for that matter...he's simply supporting "his guy". I wouldn't expect anything else, and it's not exactly a travesty.

He's supporting his guy. We all said similar things about Tajh Boyd a few years ago when he wasn't a Heisman preseason favorite - but he was the best fit for our program. I think that's all Heath Shuler is basically saying here. This is far from "Clemson news".

He became the joke of the media. According to the coaches he could not grasp the playbook. Fast forward a few years and he wins a Congressional seat. Running joke on Sports Radio was that he had to be one of the dimmest Congressman on the hill. And now he proves once again that he really is a dumb-a$$.

One more comment. I guess what Shuler is finally admitting with the "elite playmaker" comment is that Clemson has clearly unseated Tennessee as WRU!! He should just go ahead and admit that. If I were Clemson, I would use that comment in their WRU campaign.

And of course he going to pick dobbs he's a ex tennesse player but just showed how dumb he actually is! Tennessee is just but hurt we are taking all their receivers and top prospects

Definition of an idiot not thinking that people would see straight through his biases of Tennessee. When you can be a Homer and an idiot at the same time only means their opinion has a ZERO effect bc nobody wants to hear it!!!

When people say stooopid things like this
Aug 9, 2016, 12:12 PM
|

it ruins them. You can never take anything they say seriously again.
I bet Dobbs is a good quarterback and a fine young man. But to claim he's the most NFL ready QB in the country is just unfair to Dobbs and an insult to those who have proven otherwise.
That is all.

So a Tennessee homer says that the current Tennessee QB is the best college QB in the nation. Not exactly shocking...not exactly smart, either.

I happen to think Dobbs is pretty good.....but he is no DW4. DW4 is so cool under pressure and simply outstanding in many ways that can't be measured with on the field stats.

Interception to OU in overtime on his home field. Watson has never done anything like that. Hell is only loss in which he started and made it to the 2nd quarter was vs Alabama in the national championship game wh8ch was essentially lost by the special teams play. Whatever.

Meh, as stated before, he is supporting his School and the State. I can abide. But Shuler IS a potato. One of my Marines was his cousin by marriage and was the first person that tipped me off about him. Said he has the personality of a turnip if not spoon fed what to say, do, and think.
