Feel like we need a humbling tebow like speech from Dabo

Hate or love tebow this was a very humbling and vunerable speech...AND it inspired the team

"I just want to say one thing to the fans and everybody in Gator Nation. I'm sorry. Extremely sorry. We were hoping for an undefeated season. That was my goal. It's something Florida's never done here. But I promise you one thing: a lot of good will come out of this.

"You have never seen any player in the entire country play as hard as I will play the rest of this season, and you'll never see someone push the rest of the team as hard as I will push everybody the rest of this season. You'll never see a team play harder than we will the rest of the season. God bless."

Anyone else think Dabo needs to apologize?

Both super religious, yet Tebow was very humble and Dabo is very egotistical

No - apologies anywhere. Fans don’t need apologize for high expectations (even if a little unrealistic). I will never require Dabo to apologize. Gave us two Nattys & a superb run. Began beating Fl St & SCU with regularity. I am (generally) happy til I die for that.
NCAAF is unrecognizable to me. Dabo & crew are navigating the best way they know & will be good enough for me. I trust he will right the ship.

It would certainly help with the PR problem we are creating. Dabo used to be really good with stuff like that but now he seems angry, defiant and just doubling and tripling down on "his way."

He's earned the right from the past but not so much with the present. I really hope he eventually is proven right and things turnaround. It is just a little hard to see that taking place right now.

Not merely trying to be contrarian, re: speeches, I’m kinda over what Dabo says, apologies or otherwise. He has to get these coaches executing and players playing like they are tougher than their opponents. They have to execute, next game only. Forget the goals ahead of us marketing garbage. Win the next game, not on paper stats. Actually win it. Football is a tough, fast and physical game and aside from Will Shipley, I don’t consistently see a lot of that on the field right now. Coach speak and/or humbling speeches won’t fix that. Go Tigers!
