Is this 9 pm start for a football game the latest that Clemson has ever had in our rich football history?

The game in Japan did start around 12a.m.or later if my memory hasn't failed me. Google world time zones to be more specific.
Go Tigers!

I have tried desperately to forget Hatfield, the guy who single handedly destroyed our program for the next 20+ years.

The administration killed the football program, Hatfield was just one piece of the effort.

The administration wasn't in charge of recruiting, coaching, hiring and firing staff, promoting/demoting players, etc. Hatfield was. He destroyed our program, even if he were enabled by someone else. Please never get that confused again.

Yup! Hatfield couldn't cut it, but it's not his fault he was hired

Max may have hired Ken Hatfield, but Hatfield put forth the co-conspiritors who took a program that was 3 deep with NFL talent and quickly neutered it. I, for the life of me, cannot understand why so many of you give Hatfield a pass. An idiot could have succeeded with the stocked stable of talent he was left with. When Hatfield was fired, he had completey depleted all semblance of talented players, and it has taken an eon to get it back. Sorry if you can't see that, but it is the truth. Hatfield did have some success with Danny's players, but nobody had any success with Hatfield's legacy. Not really a reflection on the kids. Hatfield had no clue as to how to maximize an opportunity.

the guy was a bozo. I once drove 12 hours to homecoming just to watch us tie them. I was livid on the way home. Him and Hootie were people I could eaily punch out. Total boneheads.

If it is possible, Hootie was worse than Hatfield. At least Hatfield had some good character. Hootie may have heard about character somewhere, but he never really possessed any of it.
