In a long time I can safely say that tonight’s game was a very very well officiated game.
How often can I say that?
I hope that we get this crew In future games.

It was a good crew tonight. I’ve been fairly satisfied with the officiating, outside of a call or two, since the Duke debacle. Seems like the constructive criticism given to the league did not harm things as some expected.

They are saving it all up to have MAXIMUM impact.
ACC officials are NOT your typical human beings. There is a “reserved”, aka “special” place in…well, you know where…for them.

I like Ted Valentine. Yeah, he seems to be where the live camera is currently focused quite often and his foul calls and whistles can be rather dramatic. BUT, he calls what he sees without favor to the other team and you usually wind up with a very evenly called game. He just doesn't care about the complaints of the fans, the players nor the coaches. He lets the players and coaches get, for the most part, get a short protest in, but then will T them up if they take it too far. Keep in mind, he was a US Marine. Nothing bothers him except the undiciplined. He once T'd up Bobby Knight 3 times in one game (Look up Ted Valentine/Bobby Knight Interview on YouTube). Ted was told that he couldn't do that. He didn't care and would take the 3rd T back. Love watching him do his thing!
