First of all I agree screw Fla State after they backed out of the butt-whupping they had coming and I’ve always said that cost Trevor Lawrence the Heisman.
But, I don’t like the diminishing of the schedule that Fla State played (ACC) as long as we are stuck in the conference. When you say it won’t matter with 12 team playoff coming, it will matter even more.
Imagine being the undefeated 13-0 ACC champion and having to play in the pigtail against Penn State for the right to play Michigan while they get to sit back and rest. Or even worse, imagine beating Georgia in the opener next year and then having to beat Ohio State in the pigtail to play Georgia in a rematch because “it just means more”.
They set an awful precedence.

Exactly; it's NOT about FSU. IT'S about the actual fraud committed against College Football, a TEAM sport.

Yes. It matters and it will come back to bite us and other ACC teams as you pointed out.

Well, I learned a long time ago, don’t laugh at someone, in this case a team, that got screwed .. you could be next.

Also the ACC got screwed out of CFP money and every ACC bowl team got bumped down one spot si it does affect Clemson.

committee’s decision-making will all be based on the 2023 playoff committee’s action?

Do you imagine the future committees seeing some obligation to match what the 2023 committee did?

Why?

Seems far-fetched.
