Freak plays away

Here’s the thing….freak plays happen in every game. But the good team’s execute at a level so that the freak plays don’t determine the outcome.

Clemson executes at a level where freak plays will and have determined their fate and we are exactly where we should be based on our performance.

No more BS excuses. EXECUTE!

Sadly, I have to agree that we are playing very poorly. No phase of our game is up to standard, but the horrible Offensive performances certainly have contributed to the dismal results all around. Success breeds more success. Failure, just the opposite.

These are not freak plays, BECAUSE they keep happening. There are techniques to reduce fumbles and tipped balls. There's coaching to prevent giving other team huge yardage plays when a single guy misses a tackle. And there's the right mindset to not sling the ball, just flipping a coin on which colored jersey will catch it.

Exactly. Most tipped balls are going incomplete, but they don't run tip drills because it lessens the likelihood of an interception. Poor techniques create problems, and little problems eventually lead to what we have this year.

Exactly right. Furthermore…when CDS says he’s not quite sure why things have happened the way they have, he’s referring to the “freak” plays..,as if it’s a message from a higher power. In my opinion if you’re going to have this worldview, then the message received should be that you’re doing a poor job of coaching, and that you should take a serious look at how you approach EVERYTHING.
