I agree. Adams is very confident in his abilities. He stated that his goal was to be the number one rated high school player this year. He is not intimidated by any player. If he chooses Auburn over Clemson it would not be because we recruited quality players. I really hope we land Adams, but if we do not, we should be very good in the future with the players we have now and in the future.

You CANNOT Have "Too Many" Defensive Tackles!

Ain't no such thing. To those of us who have played the game, we know that the DT position is the most physically demanding postion on the D. Every play you are hit hard, have to fight off people, get to the ball .... the more good DT's you have, the more you can rotate .... think of it like a side change in Ice Hockey .... "the game is won in the trenches" is an old saying that is still true today... also, power beats finesse 9 times out of 10.

We are beginning to acquire the depth and talent on the DL that we haven't had since the '80's/early '90's. You can NEVER have too much talent on the DL.
We will begin to win the battles on the trenches this year, IMO and next year we could be flat out dominant once our young guns gain some game experience.

I hope it 2X better!!! Sometimes its best not to praise to early, but its been better than three years now. Dabo is righting the ship at Clemson in a right way. And Dabo is build a rock to match the rock on the hill. That maybe what Frank meant we he said give me a hundred an Ten%. If you do, you will build a Rock....

Montavious Adams come on down and be a part of history

RN, Adams, Pagano, Crawford, Watkins, Daniel, Rogers, Lawson, Aiken, Jarret, Williams, Beasly, Dodd, Barnes.
In 2013 we might have one of the deepest and most talented DLs in the COUNTRY. Backed up with an elite LB corp and deep and talented secondary and the sky is the limit for Clemson. Great Day to be a Tiger!

The rock has strange powers. When you rub it, and run down the hill, the adrenaline flows. It’s the most emotional experience you will ever have.(Clemson alumni Michael Dean Perry)
Plus the hearing of 80,000+ fans cheering. For example of what happens to one of our opponents when we have 80000+ fans cheering.
I remember being nervous before the game because there were 80,000 people dressed in orange. Its intimidating. I even threw up before the game. Its the only time I’ve ever done that. (Duke QB Dave Brown)
WELCOME TO CLEMSON MR.PAGANO you couldnt have picked a better place.

ESPN 300 DT Scott Pagano picks Clemson Jul 24 8:16PM ET By Erik McKinney | ESPN.com
“It was just fate,” Pagano said. “To be honest, I didn’t even want to visit Clemson. But when I went there, it was just so awesome. The players and the coaches are down to earth and it felt so right to be there.”

You guys did have an advantage over LSU and UF, which their fans both seem dumb founded and can not understand. But he has family in Greenville who both the aunt and uncle are alum. Family has a great influence especially for a kid from Hawaii, not to mention Baton Rouge and Gainsville and not the greatest cities to live in.

He didn't pick Clemson b/c of family in Greenville. He pick Clemson b/c of the real feeling of greatness he felt there. Didn't you read anything that he said. He said he didn't even want to go on the visit. What ever the h&ll is in them hills pulled him to Clemson. And when he got there, there is where he found his college home.

I was not suggesting family was the only reason but meant it played into it. I think family helped get him interested in CU. In the end Dabo sold it to him and he committed.
On the visit to Clemson, the nation's No. 6 defensive tackle will be accompanied by several relatives.
"My uncle Tim, aunt Lori and cousins Brit and Lexi ... all live in Greenville," Pagano said. "They'll all be coming along. They all went to Clemson for school."
The family has delivered a specific message to Hawaii's top recruit for the 2013 class about their alma mater.
"They tell me it's a great environment," Pagano said. "They said Clemson has the top education in the country, great academics. That's what it comes down to."
BTW I have had many great times at Clemson. Alot of friends went there and always enjoy my time there.

Good Linemen!!! This is exactly what will help Clemson. You can have the greatest "skill" players in the world, but if your line is weak, these players are ineffective. A strong line will make even "average" backs great !

That's maybe a big reason we got him, I had a feeling we would probably get him because of him having family in the upstate, but whatever the reason I glad he committed because we really needed him, now hopefully Adams will be next, really nice class shaping up so far now just to get some offensive lineman to go will the great defensive players were getting.

Is this the kid that said RN was overrated?
Jul 25, 2012, 8:48 AM
|
|
I remember someone from Hawaii saying RN played against inferior competition.
If its the same kid, good job Dabo for getting him to come around. And if it is the same kid, he probably has a ton of competitive spirit and thinks he can be better than the #1 overall recruit.
