What are yall's thoughts on Norvell seaming to get FSU's recruiting back on track?

Let's hope he is recruiting the same character types that Jimbo signed.
That should work well.

It will be good for our strength of scheduling if FSU can get back to being a competitive FB program again....

If your neighbor has a yard that looks like crap he can actually bring your property value down and make it harder to sell your house because people will not want to live next to a neighbor like that.

Was thinking the same thing. I love crushing FSU but as a fan I also love competitive games. We need more strong teams in the ACC.

It seems as if FSU will be back within 2 or 3 years.

I’m really encouraged by how well Novell and Mack Brown are recruiting. I really want more competition in our conference. Manny Diaz looks to have Miami trending up. Jeff Hafley has Boston College trending up. Bronco Mendenhall, Dave Doeren, and Pat Narduzzi to to start consistently signing top 35 classes. Fuente and Satterfield have to drastically improve their recruiting.
Either way, I like the trajectory of the conference. And I can’t wait to welcome top 25 teams to Death Valley again.

As long as they continue to stay a step or so behind Clemson, I definitely want some better competition

Everyone is pretty far away with their overall talent. Clemson has an overwhelming advantage with depth.
But, great QBs can substantially elevate teams (Lamar Jackson at Louisville). Now, nobody has a LJ at QB. However, there are some really good ones. Sam Howell and Drake Maye at UNC. D’Eriq King and Jake Garcia at Miami. McKenzie Milton and AJ Duffy at FSU. Clemson has had a significant talent gap at QB for a few years now. That gap is closing fast. Although, I love DJ and Klubnik.

I'd like to see FSU become decent but don't care enough about them to hope for a top 10 team.

I wouldn't mind better conference teams only for outsider's perspective, or 'optics', if you will. However, pulling for those teams to catch up to us is like chanting "SEC" when your team is at home on the couch. The next time we don't win the ACC, we may regret hoping FSU or whomever turns it around. I think that day will bring a feeling that many of us haven't had in a while. Also, there's no guarantee we would get it back the following season or ever again.
I hope we win every game 100-0. All gas, no brakes. Eff a bunch of other ACC teams. Clemson by a zillion!
On a lighter note, where is our resident FSU fan? He is so much more pleasant than the flea-ridden mutts that we have to put up with until week 2. Maybe they could learn a lesson from him in how to respectfully invade another team's message board.

Yea don’t think anything is going to help FSU beat Clemson anytime soon. Norvell won’t be the next coach to do it either.

The overall quality of recruits are not close to Clemson now but he is coaching a program that should be easy to build by getting their local recruits. They have a rich tradition so now is the time to start building, it won’t be easier to get there if they don’t start now.
They should have brought Bobby Bowden back or looked at Terry Bowden, both would be better than what they tried when Jimbo left.

It was only a matter of time before FSU starting kicking butt on the recruiting trail, given the talent level in Fla. No way FSU was ever going to go the way of Nebraska or Tennessee since it is a P5 program sitting in a prime, fertile recruiting territory.

Meh, I am fine about beating by 50+ points for the next 20 year. Maybe they will become the next Nebraska or Pittsburg of former glory days. I guess being Meechigan wouldn't be bad overall.
