Game Tickets

I have a problem with some of the so called die hard Clemson fans on this board. If you weren't planning on attending games this year you shouldn't have bought season tickets. There are some crazy prices some of ya'll are reselling them for. The face value of a conference game is $80 but I'm seeing $100+ on top of that and even more for the TD sections. I love attending as many games with my son as we can but I'm not going to pay for your IPTAY fees just so you can drive around town with a sticker on the back of your vehicle. There are plenty of people that would pay the fees and actually go to the games instead of trying to make an extra buck off people. I know once you buy your tickets you can sell them for any price you want, but when there are only 19,000 fans allowed this year the seats won't be filled with these prices. The Citadel game only had 18,600 fans. Come on Tiger fans fill the stadium.
Sorry in advance for the rant.
GO Tigers!!!

I am sick of the people that purposely will not pay any Iptay, but their idea of going to games is to actually offer less than face value for the tickets. I don’t sell to scalpers outside stadium. If I sell, I can ask any price I want. Last week, in my fan group we had 8 tickets not being used. We made sure freshmen at Clemson that had no way to get tickets used these tickets at no charge. But if you’re just a fan from wherever and want to have a dance, you have to pay the band !!!!

So, what you want is for someone else to pay the IPTAY fees so you and your son can go to the games?

So.... do you want the Valley full or do you want to pay a reasonable price for tickets?
Those are contradicting desires based on how the market works.

Supply was cut by 75% and you expect normal prices?

Supply is limited and demand is high. Yet you somehow think you should pay a "normal" price for the tickets I (and others) have paid for every year for our entire adult lives? You don't want to pay your IPTAY dues, but you moan about supporting the team? Sorry, but nothing about your post makes sense. we'll charge whatever the market is willing to pay. It's called commerce.

Uh, we pay the IPTAY fees so if we can't go of course we'll charge whatever the market will bear. For Citadel it'll be below face and sometimes it's more. I'm not sure you understand the huge financial obligation it is to pay the seat equity in some parts of the stadium. All of us that have tickets this year left our donation commitment intact and many bought more seats then they were allocated and let the school keep that extra money as well.

If you factor in the seat equity prices necessary to obtain the tickets from IPTAY, the true face value is far more than the price on the ticket. You as a non- IPTAY member have zero to complain about.

There’s no way that 18000 people were there. Most of the south upper was empty. Entire blocks of seats in the north stands were empty. Most of the west end zone was empty. Half the seats in my section were empty.
There might have been 14-15000 there.
People might have been trying to sell tickets but it looks like nobody was buying.

It appears that you upset a few people LOL. I can understand your frustration but when you have a team that has won 2 national championships in the last few years, the tickets become a hot commodity and people have no issue paying the high prices. I'm sure there are Iptay donors that do not pay a dime out of their own pocket towards their annual contribution as they sell their tickets at such a high price which covers their donation and ticket cost. I wouldn't be surprised that some are making a profit but that's their business. Maybe you'll have luck finding tickets in your price range.
