So you think this situation would have had a better outcome in a 7-11 parking lot?
If you feel the need to criticize someone, maybe focus on the neighbors who heard gunshots and went outside to see what was going on.

Was down the street from my house.
After hearing sirens for what seemed like an hour straight hauling ### down North Tryon I stopped working to check out the news and saw what was going on.
Definitely tragic.
Was weird to be out in public last night. Places we still as populated as normal for a monday but there was a somberness to everything

I get very upset when I hear news like this.
In a country as great as the USA, it confuses me as to why we feel the need to rehabilitate and give 2nd, 3rd, 4th, chances to offenders who are violent or possess firearms illegally!! Why do we allow this as law abiding citizens in society. 4 slain officers doing their job to serve a warrant, an event that will resonate in the Charlotte and surrounding community for years to come.
Let us get to a place where an offender is treated as such and not allowed the same freedoms as law abiding citizens. They do not deserve it, they have made their bed and should lie upon it as punishment. Otherwise, you have these senseless killings of officers by humans who most times should not be living free.
Prayers for the families, law enforcement agencies, community! Healing will take a lot of time but things need to change and start helping those officers who are continually going into harms way to serve warrants to people who should already be locked up.
Bring back institutions and asylums, there are more than enough people out there to fill them up and it would help our society.
This is from a graduate of abnormal psychology and social work. Some people just do not belong on the streets and being free, yesterday is a perfect example. Time to round up the riff-raff and eradicate useless things(that is being too kind).

Prayers for all the families!
I am of the opinion that when they send teams to issue a warrant to a known violent threat, then don't give the person an opening to shoot anyone. Use a megaphone and order the suspect out after you have surrounded the house. Use body heat sensors to locate the threat, then have SWAT use an MK-4 or a MK-12 and take the suspect down before he can kill 6 people!
There had to be some type of miscommunication for that many to be in the line of fire and hit!
