He's a physical presence... It'll work when the refs are 'neutral'.***

There was one particular play in that game (can't remember when) when Godfrey was standing posted up with his back to the basket but well away from the rim and he had 2 defenders between him and the hoop with a 3rd defender also close enough to help on him if needed. Godfrey twisted back and forth for several seconds and I was really hoping he'd pass it out because he was making it very obvious that he wanted to try to score and he'd been standing there for several seconds already. I think everyone knew exactly what he was going to do, and given how much Clemson had struggled at the rim against 'bama defenders all game, it seemed like a recipe for disaster.

But somehow, RJ spun around cleanly to his left with lightning speed, elevated over both defenders, and laid it in with his right hand. (I might've gotten the spin direction or hand incorrect, my apologies if that's the case.) I was amazed. Godfrey is the type of player that nobody can stop in situations like that even if the defense knows exactly what he wants to do. He has incredible physicality. (I might've gotten the spin direction or hand side incorrect, my apologies if that's the case.)
