That was a great article! I know quite a few guys from Banks County, GA. That’s a tough place to get noticed with all of the Metro schools nearby.
It’s refreshing to read about how he is giving back to his Alma Mater!

I loved that era of football. There was a point of attack for plays and the ball went there. None of this leaning on a guy and hoping a back can find an opening somewhere.

All without mentioning overcoming two torn ACL'S ( ONE IN EACH KNEE ).
Something unheard of during that era , that would end the career of most.
Absolute stud.

as greatest all-time Clemson Tiger RB's IMHO. Benefitted from quality O-line play. What a runner!

Musberger: "Allen steps away! Allen creates it! Allen for the corner!" What a call! What a run! What a game! Terry Allen jukes 4 unblocked bulldog defenders and breaks off a 20-yard run on 3rd and long from the outskirts of Treadwell's range. To me this is still one of the most exciting plays in Clemson football history!
Without Terry Allen there's a really good chance we don't win that game. Allen still did what he did having to share carries with Wesley McFadden and Joe "the jet" Henderson! ETN was very close to a Terry Allen clone, he just had a tinge more open field speed (maybe?) and definitely a tinge less vision.
We would've put UGA away early in the 4th quarter if Rodney hadn't missed Terry Allen on two separate pass plays where Allen was streaking down the field wide open. In true Danny style we had to win it on special teams and dominating defense. I don't know what TA's 40 time was, but man did he have "game speed."

Allen also had amazing balance. He could take a big hit, keep his balance and then pick up the pace, get hit again, keep his balance and then pick up the pace, get hit again and keep running. Stud!

He was a Beast. I was in school then. With Rodney Williams, Lucky 13 at QB, we had to run the ball because he could not pass for %$#*.

Except Rodney in the Citrus Bowl. Joe Pa was like what the $% is he doing. He’s not supposed to be a passer. 😂
