Help!....Any of you on here acid reflux/GERD sufferers?

Been having a terrible time the last few weeks. Doc has get me on one nexium a day and I've added in a Zantac 75 at night. Anyone else battle this and have any tips?

Zegerid OTC is the best thing I've found to take............

I don't even take them everyday as directed. Usually one just every 3 days.

Not cheap, but they work for me.

I use zantac. But, I got to wal marx and buy the equate brand. Just as effective for 1/3 of the price. It's the only reason that I visit that gawd forsaken place.

cut out caffeine, alcohol and spicy foods for a few weeks

see if this helps. I notice a big difference when I increase the intake of alcohol and spicy foods.

Bump up the Zantac to 150 and check the side effects of Nexium. Some of these drugs create a rebound effect if you take them too long.

Agree on avoiding caffeine, alcohol, and spicy foods. ALSO, avoid tomatoes at all costs.

Mouth almost constantly has acidic, burning taste...also bloating, and discomfort in sternum area when swallowing food...blah!
