If I had just one guess about the solar panels, I would say they were there to supply electricity...;)

My boat is for fishing. I mostly troll and have 3 batteries to pull the 36v motor. I use the panels to charge battery banks.

They also keep the dock lit all night and run also run a water pump for my dock garden. Sadly, have no dock garden this year as I aint there to keep it watered.

They also power the tunes I play too loud though a 12 volt amp I have down there.

They have worked great for years.

I saw the dock garden but was curious if you used the panels for that or if you hooked up a pump for yard irrigation as well? I just haven't seen multiple panels on a dock and I spend a lot of time on the water. Makes sense for lights and charging boat, thats cool.

When I lived there grew maters on the dock as my land is shaded. I had a tub on a timer that gravety watered the maters. In a container they need water at least every day.

If I was located near you I’d be anchored yards away each Sat, playing my Beach Boys tunes & sucking down any free chilled refreshment you’d throw out to me!

And know I have a spare seat for you or the Mrs in the antique 1959 (yr I graduated from G’ville High) 14’ fiberglas Skiff built by Canadian company with a new Tohatsu 15hp motor and would gladly take y’all out for a spin (but no fishing allowed).
