envy you guys who can access the home games.unfortunately live too far away,but at least i can watch all the games on tv.unlike years ago when i had only the scores at the bottom of the screen to tell me how most of our games were going.

then had to wait for the orange and white to find out what actually took place.there were times when it took weeks to find out.now there's t-net as well.

Academy. We had to go to all the home games (I personally loved it and went to all the away games I could weasel my way to as well). But man no smart phones. If we were in the top 25, our scoreboard would show the scores. If we were not, and there were times where we were not, I couldn’t find out until later when I either called home on a pay phone or got on the slow internet to find out. (I know many of you didn’t have internet in undergrad but aging myself here many of you might laugh that the smart phone hadn’t been invented yet either)

I hope to stop by too. If it’s warm enough, I’ll be wearing the purple shorts that are now famous (infamous?) thanks to MfO. Since it’s Military Appreciation Day I’ll be going full blown Barney with a purple shirt as well. I don’t think I have a purple hat…

You may not be aware of the minor controversy at FSU over purple right now.
Our colors are officially garnet and gold. When Bobby Bowden arrived the jerseys looked more red than garnet (which is a darker shade of red). Bobby got them looking garnet. Now, the uniforms look more purple than garnet. Apparently the reason is they look garnet on TV. If you see an FSU fan wearing a garnet shirt, I assure you it does not look nearly as purple as the uniforms.
There is talk that the unis will be returning to garnet next year. But, as Bobby Bowden used to say, "Nike pays us an awful lot of money to tell us what those uniforms should look like."
