I skipped dinner, but only because we got started at 8:30. I don't like to eat dinner that late.

Shrimp Louis Pasta Salad with fresh tomatoes and tri-colored rotini pasta. For dessert, I made a peanut butter silk pie with a homemade chocolate graham cracker crust and chocolate fudge ganache. Of course, later there will be Friday cosmos!

In my youth during family get togethers on my mothers side of the family BBQ chicken and hash the signature item or course of the meal. I have eaten plenty from there and always have enjoyed it. My favorite is the hash mixed with rice. It brings back strong memories due to the taste and smell.
For me it is a rarity now. My mother made a recent trip for vacation through Sumter and she picked up hash for herself and me.
I made a pot of rice (1 cup) which I know how to make perfectly and mixed a half quart of hash. (I did get a full quart).
I'm going to be in heaven soon.
