Troy Stellato best WR on the team

Stellato is easily the most talented receiver on the team. He's always OPEN. He's the fastest player on the team when healthy. If you actually watch the games, he creates the most separation but Cade Klubnik doesn't even look his way. You can see Stellato frustrated with his body language, he's had so many clear paths to touchdowns. Nobody is STOPPING him or catching. He's unstoppable with a REAL QB.

Hes right (about open WRs). Cade is not seeing the field well at all.

We don’t have a WR problem. Our QB is too inconsistent at this stage to truly show the potential of this offense. It’s not okay calls or WRs. Our biggest constraint is currently the QBs ability to run the offense. Spend 15 minutes watching TCU last year - we are not running the offense to nearly the potential. As Cade goes so will the growth of the offense.

Clemson must have better play at the QB position. Klubnik has the skills and ability I think but he lacks something!!!
Clemson IS NOT a tough team .Teams with toughness win big games . Saturday’s game in Raleigh IS a big game!

I think that "something" is anticipation and timing. Hopefully, that will come, as he he has all of the physical and mental tools to be an outstanding QB. Too many of his throws are late or after the DB has gotten into a position to defend the pass.

This isn't Mrs. or Mr. Stellato. I'm a fan. He is the best all-around WR on the team. He would easily have the most rec, yards and TDs if Cade threw the ball to him. He's been open so much and by Cade not getting him the ball is hurting the team bigtime. cade hasn't even been looking his way. It actually cost us the game last week.

He's the only receiver on this team to be recruited by Ohio State. Brian Hartline knows talent when he sees it. Thats WRU

Exactly, the only one. Hartline is the BEST WR coach in the nation and its not even close.

Highly recruited and has talent

health problems have stymied him until this year... and you are not wrong, Cade has problems with progression for multiple reasons, OL not maintaining blocks is biggest issue.
I think an effort to work the middle with short throws and some additional roll outs for Cade might be in order. Dirt raid is all fine and dandy, but the running game is being stifled by teams forcing Cade to throw it, which is what NCSU will do this weekend.
Brown/Stelato/Williams/Birningstool working multiple levels downfield with go routes by Collins/Randall so that a few shots can be made once we work the middle enough.
I also really want to see Hunter Helms, simply for the fact that Cade needs to understand that a playcall at the end of a game cannot be made into a rogue/homer play. Start Helms and see what happens, either it goes really well or it doesn't which is not far from the current situation.

Agreed. OL play has had Cade seeing ghosts. He also takes off running for no reason when he does have a clean pocket and good protection. Hopefully the OL figures it out and makes Cade more comfortable.

Cade needs to be the starter. We need him. We dont need to do anything to run him off.

If Cade ran off due to being benched for failing to run called play

then he can take his entitled tail somewhere else.
Enough pandering to these petulant children who tuck tail and whine when it should be time to grind and get better. Not saying this about Cade, you said he might run off and if so bye bye.
I do not disagree that benching him may not be the answer because Helms is untested in meaningful snaps. But I am absolutely fed up with these players being bigger than the team, the coaches, the game.

I certainly agree with you regarding Stellato and the new kid Brown shows a lot of skills too. I can see him becoming a vital part of this team once the coaches turn him loose!

You might not consider him a receiver but Briningstool is by far and away the best receiver on this team.

Stellato is the man. I just hope he sticks with it and doesn’t hit the portal. He is a beast and I love the fire and passion. He’s visibly frustrated and rightfully so.

Troy Stellato seems to have the hands and ability to separate mid-field
Oct 26, 2023, 6:00 PM
|

Yet Coach Swinney keeps telling the fan base that junior Beaux Collins is the alpha dog leader of the WR group. It seems to be Coach wants the upperclassmen to be the leader (much like Ngata), but Tyler Brown and Antonio Collins bring more game to the field.
Somehow the depth chart for Miami game showed Brown backing up Collins, and Randall & Spector as co-starters.

I hope he doesn't but I wouldn't blame him if he did transfer. It'd be understandable since they're not using his full potential.
Jeff Scott had a vision when he recruited him. Brian Hartline of Ohio State had a vision too, he was one of the top priorities. The sky is the limit with this speed, athleticism, and traits.

I’ve been hard on this kid for not being on the field, but he has stepped up and impressed so far. Albeit vs low expectations.
