5 star from Lake city

Amare Adams class of 2025 the #1 player in SC, received 2 crystal balls to the uscjrs. We haven’t offered yet , so we’ll see how this plays out.

His up-bringing and his family/coaches/friends & relatives

… will decide where he plays.

Clemson or SCAR.

If he grew up in South Carolina he already leans one way or the other. Very few are ever really on the fence about the in-state choice. And the bias can’t be “recruited” out of them.

If he’s going to stay in the state then there’s a 90%+ chance it’s already been decided.

Xavier Thomas says hi. He grew up in usucks backyard. Family was and is huge usuck fans. Friends coaches and fellow teammates pulled and pushed him to usuck. XT has been one heck of a Clemson Man even with all his obstacles.

This kid is the real deal! Why haven’t we even offered? I didn’t know that. My nephew plays against him and said no one can block him. I don’t think he is a SC lock at all. We need to get on this.

well we don't offer juniors as I recall and when we offer it is generally after Dabo mhas meant them. our offers mean something they are not given out like candy

Is that you Dabo? That’s an extremely egotistical attitude you have. We should be one him like stink on ####. He’s been on the national radar for two seasons. We can keep the cocky attitude towards football recruiting and watch our classes continue to be players offered because the players we wanted went elsewhere. Just look at last years class.

Yeah it doesn't help when they have a year+ head start–

So you think this kid does not know about Clemson and/or South Carolina. You think he was locked in a cage and doesnt know what Clemson has done the last 8 years.

Some people on here are beyond belief.

How is it possible that we have so many fans who are brand new to recruiting every single year?

It’s a topic to discuss on a message board, sorry if it offends or bores you.

I don't get offended by anonymous strangers on a message board. I do find some of the responses silly at best. Folks who follow Clemson recruiting to any extent know that Dabo does not throw out offers unless he has met the recruit in person. Currently this young man is in his sophomore year of HS so there is plenty of time and no need to freak out.

One can be aware of a practice and simultaneously question it, particularly when this situation has occurred in back to back years involving an instate target of high value.

Adams was just on Clemson's campus for Junior Day this Spring. We are definitely recruiting him. Offers for 2025 guys will likely go out on June 1. No one has a Clemson offer yet in the 2025 class.

Clemson is very selective with offers overall. Butt, I do

think that getting in so late with an offer on some of the kids we DO offer, doesn't do us any favors in our recruiting efforts.

Someone pointed out XT as an exception to the rule about family leanings one way or the other. Rules always have exceptions, but to me, it seems that it generally IS hard to "culture" the Coot out of a kid that was raised in a Dirtpecker leaning family.

And, it is REALLY hard to coach the Coot out of someone that actually committed to them at some point. I specifically remember Mark Fields, who flipped to us after being the "crown jewel" of that year's Coot recruiting class. He was a serviceable player for us, but always seemed to have a chip on his shoulder, and at the end seemed to think he was a lot better than he was, and was whiny about playing time.

We had another more recent one, can't recall the name, came here, left, went to Cooterville, and quit there as well, to drive a truck or something?
