Honest Assessment OF Where WE Are

6

I am going to be as honest about what I say as I can. We have become a one dimensional team due to our not being able to do the things we need to do when we need to do them.

Our running game has completely disappeared due to our o line. They are perhaps the worst group I have seen at Clemson in my lifetime.!

Riley's system works, we just don't have the players to make it work. When asked he said in a kind way that I have different players now than I had last year.

Last night we lost the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. The D could not get a stop when they needed to.

Cade does not do well under duress and continues to make bad decisions.

We are a team on the verge of a total collapse.

Based on our performance in the first seven games here is how I rate our chances in the the final five.

NC State 50%
ND 35%
GT 55%
UNC 45%
U of Clucks 55%

Some would prefer that you be a little more “dishonest”

I wonder if Riley feels he got sold a bill of goods.

But it doesnt matter now. It's how he responds.

Klubnik looks uncomfortable. Which if true makes him the second Clemson QB in a row to look uncomfortable being the Clemsom QB.

Have to chalk that up to the system/coaching.

Running game doesnt scare anyone. No push, no speed.

That's personnel. Just dont have the horses. Spiller cant suit up as much as he prolly wants to.

That the best WR on the field is the TE sums up the WR situation.

Again, personnel. Coaches cant do it for them.

The D is solid. They got worn down last night. Ground down, more like. Feels like two years ago when Skalski's group kept them in all the games.

Dabo's gotta take the program down to the studs. We'll see what kinda head carpenter he really is in the next 18 months.

I posted last night that at close to 50 years old I am fairly confident that this is the worst run blocking offensive line I have seen for Clemson.

It is right up there with some of the worst lines we have had.

My biggest takeaway from last night is how SOFT we are. We were physically whipped on both sides of the ball. Our offensive line creates no running lanes and our backs are never going forward at the end. Our so called stud defensive line had the ball crammed down its throat the entire second half and did nothing about it. I won’t even get in the play calling toward the end of the game when we simply needed possession passes and kept throwing deep to Bringenstool. I am a diehard Tiger and will continue to support, but this program has badly regressed despite what Dabo says.
