Re: FSU taking a head shot at the ACC today in extended complaint!

This amended complaint filed by FSU insures that the ACC will settle this lawsuit with FSU with FSU paying nothing or next to nothing to leave. The last thing the ACC wants is to have all of Swofford's dirty laundry aired in public. FSU has the ACC by the gonads. Good move on their part to go after Swofford. They know the ACC will not throw him under the bus.
This is going to be settled quickly. There is no way ACC wants the Swofford can of worms opened and it may lead back to UNC getting favorable treatment in areas we don't know about.

ACC has deep pockets and very capable lawyers. We have heard FSU side of argument. We haven't heard ACC response.

Smart lawyers and deep pockets don't matter once FSU starts calling for depositions from Swofford, his son, Raycom executives, and others, including ESPN. FSU will subpoena all correspondence from all these individuals, etc. You never know what will be uncovered in discovery. ACC will not want to take that chance. All of these people will be under oath.
I'm telling you, it s over. FSU will be gone soon with no cost to them or very little cost. Smart move on their part.

They would not have to settle with anyone else based on settlement with FSU since Clemson has not filed a law suit. The settlement with FSU could be based on FSU not sharing any info from their suit with any other team. If the settlement is settled out of court, they do not have to settle with anyone based on FSU settlement. That is why Clemson needs to file suit now.

I was thinking same thing, it’s time for Clemson to file now.

FSU and many Clemson fans often seem to have never been a part of the ACC. I hope to leave the ACC without paying $500M if we get the chance. But Clemson and FSU were part of the ACC, both did know what Swofford and the whole league were doing, and both schools did have a voice, we did know we were significantly more into football than the other teams in the league, and we both had Presidents, Athletic Directors and Faculty leadership that also misread the future of college football. FSU and Clemson signed the grant of rights in 2013 and again in 2016.
Our own leadership mistakes has and will cost Clemson significant amounts of money.
That said I like how Clemson is currently handling our interface with the ACC. I think letting FSU getting bloodied up by running through the wall first is to our advantage. FSU suing the CFP over Bama getting into the playoff over the Noles has already left a mark against FSU.
2027 seems likely to be a magic year in this entire mess.
Also FWIW, what we hear from FSU or the ACC is immaterial. The legal case is going to take awhile.
Go Tigers!!

In the first complaint FSU referred to "ACC." In this complaint they specifically named John Swofford and specifically named his son, Chad, as benefitting directly from Swofford's negotiations with ESPN and RayComm.

when BC was added to the league under the guise that adding BC would expand the ACC's television footprint which was a complete load of beans. The vast majority of sports fans in Boston couldn't care any less about BC athletics. Boston is professional sports town and they care about the Red Sox, the Patriots, the Celtics, and the Bruins. No one will ever convince me that both he and his son didn't benefit personally from BC being added to the ACC.

What the ACC fails to understand, is that the deal made with the ACC was competitive until ESECPN made a new deal with the SEC paying triple of what they pay the ACC. I will always believe that it was an intentional planned out deal before they ever made the ACC deal!!!

FSU can claim anything they want but a Judge has to buy it. They just need to hope the Judge is not a Gator fan.

FsU signed and agreed to all of it,,,signed it twice...if a contract is worth so little that it can be broken that easily...then college football can't be saved...the reason those losers are having a cow to get someone to join them is so they don't look childish and greedy alone! If Clemson joins those rape supporting, crab leg stealing, bad coach picking fools then I will know that Dabo has lost it! Doing something foolish just for more money for yourself might be folly for anyone but FSU! Could the ACC ever have gotten to the point of a ESPN deal without Raycom?

that Swofford's son was involved in the Raycom deal....I thought everyone knew that, and frankly, that Clemson should have raised cain about it long ago. No wonder we get screwed over, and over, and over.....we are like the battered housewife that stays with an abusive husband. It makes no sense.

Nope, it surely don't make good sense that a woman will stay with a man that beats her. If they are so bad that they make them that mad, pack your suit case and leave, period!!! My daughters husband would go missing if he ever put his hands on her in a violet way. Two would go fishing and only one would come back, and I'll be the one coming back bc he would fall out the boat in Sparkleberry Swamp, and I couldn't find him
