Here in Fort Mill…my AC is struggling mightily. There really is nothing redeeming about the month of August here in SC.

Talked to my friend in Lexington SC and he told me his weather gage said 98 with a heat index of 112. That's dangerous territory. ☀️

Go climb a tree! Shoot a deer and it will be medium well before you drag it to your truck.

When I lived in PA and there was usually snow on the ground when we were hunting, I used to hope I could shot a deer just so I could warm up my hands by field dressing it. With this heat you might be able to cool your hands by field dressing one!

I never hunt until we get a couple frosts to knock down the mosquitoes which is usually in Nov sometime. I hate dragging a deer when its 90 degrees with swarms around me.

Thermacell .... works like a charm

but you do have a point if you have to drag a deer very far. I like to shoot 'em where I can drive the truck. Thermacell doesn't work too well on the move.

You are right about a Thermocell, its a must. I hunt on a Plantation and there is no off roading allowed, if its in the right area I can take an ATV sometimes but that is only about 20% of the time. I obey the rules as I get free access to 3000ac, dont want to mess that up. I get to hunt deer, a little turkey hunting but all other the birds are off-limits as that is what the owner likes to hunt. Used to be able to hunt dove but he decided be likes hunting those now too.

My phone says 96 and 110index in Summerville. Hot enough already! Had 26 days over 90 degrees on my latest utility bill I got today.
Was looking at enery costs and its up almost 30% per kilowatt in last 14mos. I used 9% less energy vs last years same billing cycle but bill is up 14%.
Let's go Brandon!

I'm in a group text with 5 of my fellow UPS coworkers and just texted that today is hottest 🔥 so far. I swear it feels like a 120 in the back of this truck!

Do you remember the pre-2000’s? Rocket hot, especially late 90’s. Had relatively mild summers since. This is the first one in a while I’d say was close to normal. Remember one summer back then we had a string of 100+ days in Greenville. When was the last time we had a 100? Got to be global warming…’er, climate change.
The gift that keeps on giving…to big government that is!!

We have had a couple of days off, but lately it's been well over a 100 every day. Yesterday was 95 and it felt like a holiday from the heat. It's been a nasty summer here and I am not a summer guy in the first place unless I'm in the mountains of Colorado or up north elsewhere.
