by combining the ACC with the BIG 10? Scheduling would be a nightmare but it seems that is where we're headed with these super conferences. Most of the teams would be located east of the Mississippi. There are strong teams in both conferences. It would likely make it easier for ESPN to renegotiate the TV contracts without imposing penalties.
At some point posters who do the tineist bit of BiG research will discover they will only admit high academic achievers as proven by membership in the Association of American Universities. If your school is not a member, or on their published list of anticipated near term additions it will not be considered by BiG. The next two most likely candidates are U of Washington and U of Oregon, both AAU members. BTW, so is Notre Dame. Current ACC members include Duke, Virginia, Syracuse, Carolina and Ga Tech.
So I did some research and found this. I guess you did less than the tiniest bit of research as EVERY single ACC school has higher academic standard than Iowa and Nebraska except Louisville who is equal. So there is that.
