Did some coach not warn the team there could/would be random

drug test before the bowl?!?!? I get that "we've not been here", but somebody, Dabo, needs to own it. If you sit me down (as a team) after the ACCCG and make it very clear that smoking one joint WILL get me a positive test and hurt my team, I'll lay off till January. Some coach dropped the ball on making sure these guys were very aware of the possibilities of a test.

for their actions. Actions have consequences. sometimes those actions and those consequences are severe. But that is life. Real men learn from their mistakes, and don't blame others.

Perhaps some PARENTS should have warned their kids.

Blaming the coaches? That's like blaming our teachers for the chaos in public schools. It's called personal accountability. And it begins at home.

Hence the word random? Actually, they could have smoked pot last week and they would still fail a test this morning.
Poor, poor judgement. But the fact is that they are going to suffer FAR more than the team or us. This is a 'regret for the rest of your life' mistake for those guys. Tragically bad decision.
I've made them in my life and I'm sure everyone here has. It's tough to watch.
Frankly, my goal for the rest of my life is to just be the kind of man my dog thinks I am.
Go Tigers!

they knew it was against the rules. But to answer your question,,,it is mandatory for coaches to conduct an educational session on NCAA banned substances. Don't blame this on the coaches...good grief. You know good and well the players know that rule. They have to take all the responsibility
