How wrong is this

I need 21 bundles of shingles (7 square) which comes out to be around $604. The shingle is a special order so I have to purchase online. I broke the order down to 3 orders of 7 bundles to get the price at $201. Then I applied a $40 off coupon to each order. Had to place each order at a different Lowes so they don't wonder why I placed 3 separate orders.

Thats right. They gonna go right back to their supplier/rep and tell them to give them their sell-thru dollars NOW. They gotta make their 75% margin....you know, "to keep the lights on!"
At least that is how my life works.

from another frugal lunger, you left money on the table.........
a) Go through portal like topcashback to get to the lowes site to order your shingles....that's another 5-7% back.
b) Go to a gift card reseller and buy your lowe's gift cards there to save another 5-10%
or
b1) buy your lowes gift card through a grocery store like publix that offers 4x fuel points and get a decent amount of free gas

The gift card thing is a bad Idea. I did it once before but it's pretty easy to get scammed with those. I also think they quit allowing gift cards online which takes away the ability to use these coupons

Used em a ton and never had a problem. 
Combined all these tactics when I bought my zero turn a year or so ago and got a $3k mower for $2300 without even trying hard.

I've spent thousands, broken up into $100 orders, or whatever the price-point was. I'm talking big things, like 16' 2x8's to build my deck and crap like that.
I am re-doing the master bathroom this weekend (hopefully). I priced homedepot with a regular 10% off coupon and the $40 off of $200 lowes coupon... HD came out $15 cheaper...
I just placed the order a few moments ago, as a matter of fact.
