Add an extra tradition with the rock now

Now to add more security have the rock on the pedestal but have the pedestal go down into the ground when not in use and rise out of the ground when the team starts to get out of the bus right before they run down the hill. That would rock the crowd ( The Rising of the Rock ) and it will never die

The only problem is the magic of all of the fans giving their 110% will not be able to touch it before the game. That's one of the reasons it has always been so special to me. I can walk right up and rub the rock just like the team does every home game. I bet those days a gone now.

right as the team was getting off the busses? It'd be a disaster. If it goes into the ground, I'd rather them just quietly raise it a few hours before each home game so people can still look at and admire the rock like always.

That can be done , then just lower it and let it rise right before the team runs down the hill

....a moment of silence to remember Howard's Rock the way it used to be.
Maybe a photo montage on the big screens showing The Rock as a young boulder, the lean years, the hard work that shaped Howard's Rock into the rock it is today.

All that while "Eye of the Tiger" plays on the com and slight smoke comes from the base just as it starts to rise.

And what about those of us who like to see the Rock whenever we pass the stadium? Changing because of one a-hole isn't worth it.

They could always replace it with a new rock (now that it is damaged) and put the original one in Howard's old office where it would be easier to keep it safe.
