Seems like Chad and Dabo are more enamored with some amorphous idea of "identity" than actual effectiveness and production.

don't know if it was cole's shoulder injury or just lack of confidence in reading the d, but pretty much 90% of cole's completions were of the bubble variety on the line of scrimmage
cole EASILY coulda - shoulda had 5 INT's
no exaggeration, counted at least 5 that the cardinals D had a great chance of picking off
could be a LONG few weeks

everytime when they are getting 5 plus yards per attempt. UL was leaving this open so why not run it. For people who talk about not making adjustments, this was the adjustment. UL was stopping deep and the middle of the field the boundaries were susceptible to the screen game. Complaints about the red zone are warranted, but this was the one adjustment that worked mixing this in.

That laminated thing Chad carries around on the sideline is actually just a Waffle House menu…His playbook is written on a receipt in his back pocket.

explosive offenses in the country."
So do I. But it just seems like we are always behind the curve on getting it done against the better teams. Year after year. I can't say enough about the progress of our defense. It is jam up. We allowed only 20 points in regular time against the #1 team in the country at their stadium. We see how explosive our offense can be against lesser teams, but we just stall against the good teams. I am thinking the root cause is our offensive line. Year after year. What I can't understand is why our coaches have not recruited and trained to make our O line as jam up as our defense. This is not a recent phenomenon. It is recurring. Year after year.

I believe our offense would shine more if the play calling improved. They must be discouraged too.

Me too & I hope one of them isn't the shotgun if we have a 3rd & goal from the 1 yd. line unless CM has got a pass play in mind. Think we could run a slant or corner pattern instead of trying to run tough yards on the goal line from 4-6 yards deep in the backfield?

Just throw the ball to Mike Williams - ONE PLAY. We only need ONE PLAY.
Next problem?
