I love how other Top teams lose to a Top 25

Team and only fall 2-5 spots back in the rankings. We lose to a Top 25 team and seemingly drop out of the Top 25.

I was wondering the same thing. How is Oregon, UCLA, Baylor, LSU, and USC still in the polls I don't know but they can't say it's not because ESPN or anyone else for that matter is not bias. I still don't know how LSU is back in the polls and Louisville isn't man I'll even take Duke but LSU no not for wins over Florida and Kentucky who should be the two bottom teams in the country.

bearer atop the white stallion.
They get their arses handed to 'em in Chestnut Hill, give up like 350+ on the ground playing like so much wet noodles on the D-line, and carry their entrails back to Hollywood in buckets.
Yet there they are ranked just ahead of a Tigers D that beatch-stomped the Eaglets runners like so much Lilliputians in Fairy Land.

We were 1-2 at the time of the FSU loss, and UGA lost to the coots. It was not unreasonable at all that we fell out of the polls at that point.
Just my 2 cents.

We drop 7-8 spots back? When ND or an SEC would drop 3-4 for a similar loss

no but they were "comfortable losses"......

it's not like we lost like the FSU game this year many times
the UGA was "closer than the score" but the way we finished that game left questions in the pollsters minds........then at 1-2 it's tough to keep a team (regardless of who they played) in the top 25.
i think .....A. we are about right.....and B. it will work itself out, if we are "the team" we all hope we are we will win out and be ranked around 10ish when the season is over, and hopefully FSU wins out or loses 2 to give us a chance at more credibility for a marquee win.

Yes, but should've gotten more credit for UofL/BC wins

Those are both pretty good teams. It's just too bad UofL couldn't finish their game at UVa and BC didn't have their offense figured out at Pitt.

I think we are right where we deserve to be at this point in the season. I might agree with you if we'd beaten Louisville and Boston College by an average of 30 points. They were good wins against solid teams, but I don't think they should have vaulted us into or close to the top-15.

BC lost to Colorado State and Pitt- good teams do not lose to Colorado State and Pitt. And Louisville is pretty mediocre.

Louisville is a long way from mediocre.
That D of theirs is flat-out nasty. Their O is not firing on all cylinders yet but it's not terrible. That Louisville team may not lose again the rest of the year - and that's even with FSU paying them a visit.
Careful, FSU. Famous Jameis or no Famous Jameis, I'm not convinced FSU walks out of Papa John's with a W.

Poll voters look for reasons to drop teams early in the season. It's the simple and reasonable way to cull through the pack.

Pretty simple, all those teams have big wins, we have none. In my opinion it takes a better team to lose to the number one team in overtime than it does to beat a 20ish ranked team, but i'm not the ap poll so theres that...

This is one of the dumbest posts I have ever seen.

First, it was our second loss. We were 1-2, and had yet to beat a division 1 team.
Second, before that game we were sitting at 22 and 24 in the polls. So we only had to drop 2-5 spots to drop out of the top 25, which is- get this -the same number of spots that other teams drop!! Go figure?!?!
There is not some national conspiracy against Clemson. Please think before posting next time, and please do not reproduce.

That, and Georgia losing to a terrible cack team didn't help us out. Dropping us from the rankings was entirely logical.

UGA loss=first loss, FSU loss=second loss, thus a 1-2 record

How did I forget about the UGA loss? Seems I accounted for it in my complicated formula to determine our record.
