Do you believe Trump can win another general election?

I loved Trump’s policies in his first term but I just don’t believe he can win another general election. He has way too many negatives. I feel anyone else could beat Biden by 15 points. I’m a conservative but Republicans can never seem to get out of their own way.

He can't get the independent voters or the moderates, so he can't win. If Nikki doesn't get the nomination I'll vote for Trump... even though he can't win. I hope I'm wrong.

I’ll have to say, I didn’t think anything could top his first win. It was must see TV! However, if he won again, there would be a complete and total meltdown.

If he wins again, he will do it without my help this time. People will believe what they choose to believe, and my heart says no to a man that has forced himself on women while knowing what he was doing was crime, a man who has told gigantic lies about what his property was worth knowing that he was committing a crime, he personally called for his followers to march on the white house saying that his vice president should be hung knowing what he was saying was a crime. Trump showed the nations top secret documents to his friends knowing he was committing a crime at a high level, he then tried to get people who worked for him to destroy the top secret documents know he was committing a crime. There is just no way I could vote for a criminal to lead our country while knowing he believes his standards are above everyone's and he don't give it a second thought. There is just to many things that he is being accused of for all of it to be a lie. No, this isn't someone I could ever trust again bc there is just much evidence against that was documented through recordings or his friends telling on him. There may be some of it that was a lie, but there is now that all was a lie, and voting for him to run our country, just means you want a criminal in the highest office of our country. And his love for Putin and other criminal leaders around the world is just to much, and anybody voting for him is saying that it's OK to allow a criminal to be president to the greatest country and people of the world!!! There is just to much that he has been accused of doing for it all to be a lie, something in the milk ain't clean!!!

That's also my opinion. Will be interesting to see what happens if Manchin decides to run. Thought for certain he would until his wife was injured in a wreck. Don't know how serious it was. RFKjr may draw some support as an independent. Trouble is I can't understand half what he says. Voice is terrible. Can't imagine what happened to it.

Anyone with common sense knows any time mail in ballots are used there's always fraud. You've got your head stuck in the sand if you can't see that.

Do I think democrats harvested ballots? 100%. Once the ballots were sent in, they were valid ballots and recounting them would not change anything. My question is… why don’t republicans do the same thing. We’ll never go back to election DAY. Unfortunately.

Republicans tried, they even took a more blatant strategy at fraud. They sent a mob to the capital to try to stop congressional certification of your vote and my vote. But they failed.
They also attempted to use fake electors. More fraud and more failure.

Paper ballots, hand counted - like the French did it. Same day tallying.

Would allow for a more nearly honest election. Please tell me exactly what is the benefit of voting machines, other than costing approximately 10 times what hand counting costs, delaying the results for weeks and opening the door to electronic hijinx?

The American voter is presented with a Hobs-man’s choice, you can simply pick the lesser of two evils. It’s sad that our politics are such that our choices are two geriatrics, one is completely unaware of the surroundings, the other one is not even sure who he is running against. Is this the best we can do? Is there not one politician out there who is under 70 years old who can step forward and lead the country? Are we relegated to choosing between vapid leadership or a dictator? It would almost seem more effective to just let Congress run the country. About the same amount will get done.

The voters have a chance to be the forward looking adults that people on the hill haven’t been in a generation by voting for a 3rd party. No, they won’t win but if a 3rd party candidate gets 5% of the popular vote that party gets full funding and representation in the next cycle. Nothing is going to get fixed with our idiotic 2 party system, need more parties to facilitate discussion and compromise rather than agenda ramming that’s undone every 4 years.
If you live in a red or blue state especially vote 3rd party instead of wasting your vote on one of the two geriatric clowns we’ll have to chose from

Sorry, but the wasted vote is the one for a third party that has no chance to win. If they ever get a candidate who I recognize their name before I see the ballot they might get my vote. A vote for the 3rd party equals a vote for Biden in this election.

This is biggest fallacy keeping us locked into the two party system. True it will take several cycles for a 3rd party to get traction, but what’s better? This stupid broken system we have today in perpetuity, or casting a few “wasted” votes and leaving a better system for our children? Its insane that we think that picking between turd sandwich and a giant do*che every 4 years is a good system that’s going to fix anything

The real question is "Do you actually believe the elections aren't rigged by the Gov't"?
If you do, I have some swamp land I would like to sell you for a sweet deal. 😉
Anyone who thinks their vote determines Presidential elections is either a dimwit, or is involved in the fraud.

Agreed. It's very concerning how the Republicans under performed two years ago in the midterms when they should have swept in a landslide. Didn't a lot of candidates that Trump backed lose?

would stand up to his calling Arlington fallen " suckers and losers" with the comment "what was in it for them". And questioning where is Haley's husband..... where is his wife on the campaign trail? Is that a sign his mind is as close to gone as Biden's? Voting against him in primary but can't vote for Biden no matter who runs against him.

Maybe you should stop getting your info about Trump from people who hate him.
He actually has done a lot for veterans.
And he would NEVER get them killed and then stand there and look at his watch when their bodies are returned.
Actions matter a lot more than words.

His words say otherwise. And I disliked him as a person long before he got into politics so I might have been one of the first to do so - not getting my info from haters. Like I said - if he is the nominee he will get my vote but I will not like him and give him the worship that the diehards give.

would stand up to his calling Arlington fallen " suckers and losers" with the comment "what was in it for them". And questioning where is Haley's husband..... where is his wife on the campaign trail? Is that a sign his mind is as close to gone as Biden's? Voting against him in primary but can't vote for Biden no matter who runs against him.
Clover, how can any veteran vote for Trump after he sez this about our heroes in Arlington?

Like I said, he doesn't get my vote in the primary but will grit my teeth and do so in November. Maybe someone will get an all-Dem jury before then and he will be ineligible.

No, Trump cannot win a general election. I was so disappointed when he announced he was going to run again because as things stand right now, anybody could beat Joe Biden, but Trump.

The system benefits the wealthy, Democrats and Republicans, doesn’t matter. Choosing for an American President with our choices is like choosing between poop and diarrhea for dinner after an extended fast.

Like him or not he was a great president. Unfortunately the country is very soft and feminine and can't handle the truth. These soft anti American victims will vote for Biden out of spite. Just look at the crime and inflation the last few years. The military is going down quickly. No one with any patriotic spirit will join. Look at the debt and where the money is going. The Democrats are more worried about electric cars than the opiods killing our children. Just look at the border. What the Biden voters don't realize is once this country is completely socialist they Want need your vote anymore. Once it's gone it's gone. Just remember you voted for.

Folks, we have no choices in this election. It gonna be Biden or Trump. As voters we are given our choices by the two parties. I don't like my choices but either I vote for one of these clowns or nobody. So, I may just write in Nobody in the general election.

As someone who is neutral and will not be voting for either candidate. He could but I think Biden has a better chance. Agin I think both will contunine to move our country in the wrong direction but I think the current legal case with Trump might be the nail in the coffin. Write in OJ 2024

I’m somewhat neutral too because I can’t see how voting for the best of two evils is a good thing!!!
Neither one of these clowns needs to be in charge of the United States of America.
The two party system has FAILED. Badly.

I dont believe he can unless a strong 3rd party candidate emerges or if Biden steps aside and the Dems nominate Hillary.
FWIW I refuse to vote for Trump or Biden so Kennedy or other.

The election is going to be close and could go either way. It depends on how many times Biden falls between now and November. I'm voting for Haley in the primary. Then, if and when she loses, I'm undecided in the General between Trump and RFK. I'll never vote for Biden just on how he's screwed up the border and inflation plus he's about senile. I really just think Biden is trying to hang on then pass it to Kamala in the second term.

No. In another Biden/Trump election, Biden wins
1

Why?
Look at the margin of error in any Biden/Trump polls. In the polls that show Trump winning, in none of them is he still winning outside the margin of error - that's the important variable that is always missed.
Second, if you believe that the Democrats cheated or manipulated the election - that can only successfully be done in a close election. Cheating/Manipulating can't account for 5-10% or more of the vote. Just not possible. But it can account for up to 5% in a close one.
Third, moderates and independents would most likely vote for Biden. He's old and senile and nuts, but he doesn't come across as aggressive and dangerous as Trump. Biden would get those votes.
Trump will not beat Biden. Not gonna happen. All the more reason to vote for Haley, who polls show DOES pretty handily beat Biden, and who most certainly would pick up a lot of independent and moderate voters - and those are the ones who win the elections. Trump got them in 2016. They kind of split in 2020. In 2024, very few will go to Trump, but Haley would get more than enough.

I'd have to agree 100% with this. Trump will get none of the votes in the middle which is required to win.

I will be voting for Biden. But it won't be easy. Biden's age is being used as the equivalent of "but Hillary's e-mail server."
If Biden does win, Trump will of course say the election was rigged. And I'm worried that it will be difficult to get all of the states certified in time for the electoral college, due to MAGA-world meddling. They tried to put the brakes on in 2020, but there were enough republicans with a spine to stand up to them and do the right thing. This time, I'm not so sure.

Off topic a touch, but your spineless comment leads me to chip in that the Republicans have become the party of the spineless, the mindless and the lawless.
It’s hard to imagine enough spineless, mindless and lawless making up a majority.

And as a GOP member who is a fan of McCain, Romney, Lynn wing of the party (or what once was a wing) - yeah Im a RINO and embrace it - I’m seeing a very good chance the sneaker pimp wins.
A lot of apathy for Biden fthe Democrats to overcome - to get folks out to vote. Anyone but Trump worked before but may might be a one trick pony.
