But the coaches main priority should be figuring out the Oline. The coaches have been touting the praises of the O-line all offseason but for whatever reason it didnt transpire on the field last night.

Guard-Center-Guard looked just as bad as last year, no push on running plays and whiffed blocks on blitzes. Our new RT was obviously a weakness. I know this is Millers first college action but he absolutely got abused by techs DE.

That's where I'm gonna have my eyes these next few weeks. I think if the Oline can live up to the praises the coaching staff put on it we will look much better on Offense even if we start Hunter Johnson at QB.

The OL is who they are. I am sure they will improve but the best way to offset that is with a truly mobile QB and/or a QB that gets ball out of there hand very quickly. NFL guys that are not mobile (Brady, Herbert) have crazy real times. In College game in is the day and age of the highly mobile guy (Bryce Young, Caleb Williams, Stroud, Richardson (Florida). DJ is really neither so he cannot offset OL issues like DW and Trevor could. This OL will not just miraculously turn into a UGA line.

I agree. At Clemson we’ve never asked the line to be great we’ve asked the QB to be great.

Perfect summary. We have never had tons of NFL OL talent and QB play has offset that somewhat.

The game is won and lost in the trenches.... on both sides of the ball. Loved the TEs getting into the mix. Davis Allen and Baringstool are studs.
