I was bushwhacked in Walmart.

I was asking about the cash back policy while checking out and made the comment that I was there by choice. I told the cashier that I either had to take a list shopping for my daughter or sit with the kids. Of course, I wore the colors.
This small meek voice behind said, 'pretty smart choice for a Clemson boy.'
I said without looking, 'must be a Carolina fan.'
She maintained the meekness in her voice and told me 'that's right.'
As I turned to glance at her I said 'so how do you expect your Tarheels to do this year.'
She bowed up a little and said 'no silly, I'm a USC fan.'
I said 'USC is in Southern Cali...she interrupted me and said 'you sound like that dad burned Dabo.'
I looked back and noticed the sweetest smile on her face and couldn't help returning it. Now the bad part. I lied to a little old lady and told her how happy I was that the gamecocks had become a respectful team.
I dunno guys, what do you do with a little, old, meek, polite, and gentle lady? Where did I go wrong in life?

someone just forgot to tell me when those times were. Funny mental picture of a dude in an orange shirt close lining an old coot in Walmart. It really wouldn't be hard to believe that story if you read it in the paper, especially happening at a Wally World.

I called a medical supply company yesterday to question an invoice. The operator said they were in Columbia. When the guy in billing clarified the billing issue,I asked him if he was a Gamecock.He said that he went to USC ,but his son is a senior at Clemson so he is now a TIGER supporter. Just shows what a smart Clemson student can do when confronted with a challenge!
By the way, the guy was very nice. Which suggests that his Clemson loyalty must be real.
