I too wish him good health, but like you his on air personality gets old after awhile.
But I feel the same way about Lee Corso and Chris Berman.
IMO, they just don't have the same respect as "Rodney Dangerfield" has any more.

Dickey V. has forgotten more about basketball than most of us will ever know. If you could put up with the personality he was one of the best ever at actually calling a basketball game. Kinda like listening to Tony Romo call a football game these days ….
