Has he passed Dabo in the Top HC in the country rankings?

For the last 6 or 7 years the Publications and national consensus has had it

1-saban
2-Dabo

Does it now go..

1-Saban
2-Smart
3-Dabo

Dabo is a great coach and program driver. I am very happy he is at Clemson.

Why worry now about Kirby vs Dabo? No need to be in a hurry.

The smart front-runner will wait to see if TCU can pull off a miracle win; then they can jump on the Sonny Dykes bandwagon.

In this what have you done for me lately world, Smart passes Dabo, and short-term gets more love than Saban who won back-to-back but not undefeated in 2011-12.

You can say that….but what you can’t say about Smart that you can say about Dabo is that he got it done and started from scratch….. UGA had crazy good players and a great pipeline to the best programs in GA. All he had to do his coach and get him to buy in……Dabo had to change culture and mindsets. Not saying smart didn’t have to do some of that, it not like Dabo……Smart took over arguably the most underachieving program in the country when you looked at their roster and facilities.
