LOL. Norvell seems sorta nerdy, which isn't a bad thing...

but it seems like he tries to be someone he's not. I think recruits see through that. It comes across as a little socially awkward.
Dabo's, obviously, goofy and sorta the ultimate "dad joke" guy but he just plays that up so well because that's just who he is.
Also, those things are actually really cheap. Only around $30K. I assumed this was like a $150K deal.

Probably never know how much it cost. The official story is Norvell paid for it with his own money, so it isn't subject to Florida's government in the sunshine law.
It may not be 150K, but I'm thinking it is probably in the six figure range.
Yes, Norvell does appear to be on the "nerdy-cool" spectrum. Only time will tell, but he certainly seems appears to be far more competent (coaching/recruiting/PR/etc.) than Taggart was. (Faint praise for sure. Taggart set a very low bar.)
Nole fans are getting all excited. I'm taking a "cautiously optimistic" approach.

I said the same, that it was cheapish!!! I thought that Norvell was going to put FSU back to being a solid FB program, but seeing this, makes me wonder about the guy!!!

The recruits seemed to like it. He took several of them for a ride (on the streets, not in the stadium) and they reacted as though it was very cool, not at all dorky.

I can see that as a bit of an "arms race" addition. My high school students thought it was "dope" and "fire". :P

Their horse may add a few road apples to the interior to signify his disdain, as well.

Sorta like having a slide into a bunch of rubber balls?
Just kidding. Coaches are continually trying to figure out what makes an 18 year old tick. Dabo's slide has been roundly criticized, but obviously, it ain't hurt his recruiting.

Alabama, UGA, UF, UM and Clemson continue to put the squeeze on FSU in recruiting and Norvell can't gain momentum. I assume that explains this dumb stunt with the car.
Even if he is a decent coach and recruiter, looks like tough times for FSU will continue for a long while.

We have a slide in our football building.
Recruits react to innovative and unique things. I don’t blame Norvell one bit for trying.
