Would you not mind all these other PAC12 teams leaving the league as your shot at making the Playoff increases drastically since the PAC12 champion gets an auto berth?

The PAC X doesn’t get an automatic berth. The six highest ranked champions are slotted in, could be SEC, ACC, BiG, Big 12, American, and Mountain West.

If we were Cal, Stanford, Oregon St., or Wazzu, I would be having an inferiority complex, wondering why nobody wants us. Glad Clemson is always mentioned as one of the most desirable schools to land, should we eventually (hopefully!) choose to part ways with our sinking basketball conference.

...hit the portal after this season. Can't blame them. Wouldn't be surprised if those 4 schools end up in the Mountain West, which is already being rumored.

Mtn West: "Likely" to get raided.

There are a couple interesting pieces in the mtn west. San Diego State for example is a big city in the southern part of California TV market. Nevada and UNLV have some appeal in terms of game locations and the like.
The best of the MTN West will likely get raided by what's left of the PAC 12.

It now costs ~$35 million for a team to leave the conference. SDSU missed their window and they are locked in.
The remaining Pac 4 teams will migrate to the MW, not the other way.

Unfortunately the PAC 12 teams will have to join the Mtn West conference not the other way around.

because they know what this means to their teams. They see it as a betrayal and are flipping out.
The Pac 4 isn't large enough to exist by itself and they will be forced to join the Mountain West, which has now locked in all of its teams.
The Apple TV deal is dead and gone and no network of any kind will agree to broadcast their games for more than dimes on the dollar.
Even though I've never lived out west, I've been a Pac 12 football fan for decades. I loved Pac 12 After Dark.
Nobody in California gives a care about Cal and Stanford football. Academically they fit the B1G but they aren't needed.

I will now pull for Oregon State every year they make the College World Series unless of course we are playing. I too loved watching MWC or Pac whatever games late.
