If the expansion can be used to screw ESECPN in some way,

then at least SOME good may come of it.

It does make sense, even if we don't like it. It's about survival of those remaining after Clemson and FSU (and apparently UNC) find their way out.

I'm sure it's a consideration for the ACC but if Clemson, UNC, and FSU

had ironclad deals/offers to leave then they would have never voted "no" on ACC expansion to begin with. Why vote "no" if you were leaving and the additions would never affect you??

I have no doubt that Clemson, UNC, and FSU all want to leave the ACC but currently have no real answers to that GOR albatross around our necks and, regardless of all the social media hype, have no realistic offers from the SEC/Big10. If Clemson, FSU or UNC had figured a way around the GOR and had a realistic offer from the SEC/Big10 they would have announced it already.

Unfortunately Clemson, UNC, and FSU just got "ACC'd" by the rest of the league with the addition of these left coast schools and are going to have to deal with it for the foreseeable future.

Because if you are going to try and litigate down The GOR you want to be able to say that you were against this.
