Ive been hammered for saying DJ does not and never will have "it."

And now we all know it.

Ive been hammered for saying "Just win, baby" is the only reasonable response to a $115M coach getting paid to deliver nattys -- not wins, not ACC titles, not "exceptional young men" -- nattys.

Now that Clemson's no longer playing for nattys and is in fact the second-best team in SoCar for at least the next year, maybe more people will abandon the sunshine pumpery in favor of a more "Just win baby" approach.

I am speaking only for myself ,but I do not expect to win national championships every year but you can not win one if you can't play for one.
Looking over the past 2 REGULAR seasons Clemson started out 2021 with a loss to a SEC team and finished 2022 with a loss to a SEC team. In between those two losses there were 2 losses to ACC teams last year and a loss to an independent Notre Dame this year and those losses fall, IMO, on the offensive side of the ball.
Adding it all up equals a 10-3 win season last year counting the bowl game.
Right now we are sitting at 10 wins but will play 1 more game this season with the possibility of ending up 12-2 or 10-4.
Thing is you may be right about DJ not having "it" but the "it" now falls directly on the shoulders of that $115M dollar Head Coach.
The "Just Win Baby" scenario is maybe we need to quit babying DJ, and Brandon Streeter and make whatever chances are necessary to see that 10 win seasons should not be the norm.

$115M means win. Period.
Bad QB? Tough. Win anyway.
Homeboy OC making bad calls? Tough. Win anyway.

Or go coach at Wofford or somewhere at a much-reduced salary because youre getting paid Saban dollars. Gotta deliver Saban results.

My Lord, this is SPOT ON. I wish I was sitting by a guy like you at games, or in the pubs in Clemson. But no, as you indicated down in your post, it’s all sunshine pumping these days - PC, little pansies, talking about Building men, whatever. Dabo’s blind loyalty to one player has absolutely caused this program to slide into a downward spiral. My only real hope is that DJ would transfer before it’s too late. I think if we have another year with #5, that spiral may become uncontrollable.
