for Clemson players always seems lower than their composite ranking for Clemson players?

They have downgraded one of our commits from 5-star to 4-star sometime in the last few days. I think it is Bentancur. It allowed Tenn. to move ahead of us.

First, I'm pretty sure (based on other information being reported) that Tenn. pushed past us in the recruiting rankings because they added 5-Star Mike Mathews as a commitment, and we did not.

2nd, Tenn also added a 4-Star OL from Ohio that we were recruiting as a commitment about a week ago.

3rd, Bentancur was never listed as a 5-Star and I know of no Clemson commitment who has been downgraded from a 5-Star by 247 in the 2024 class. As far as I know, we've only received commitments from two 5-Stars in the 2024 class thus far (Bryant Wesco and Sammy Brown)
--and both of them are still reflected as 5-Stars by 247. If you have current references that contradict any of my information, please provide these references as your source.

However, I do agree with main point of the current thread: i.e., "... it does seem like the 247 rankings seems prone to ranking Clemson players lower than their composite ranking for Clemson players..." Of course, that's because the 247 Composite rankings average in other ranking sites (e.g., Rivals, ESPN, On3, etc.) to the 247 ranking to provide a "composite" ranking. And generally, our recruiting targets & commitments seem to rank better in the other recruiting sites than in the 247 rankings.
