In the last 3 games PJ has 18 three point attempts to only 6 free throw attempts. On the season he has more three point attempts (71) than free throw attempts(58).
I'm no basketball expert, but to me you're asking for losses when your 6'10" Center is spending more time outside the arc than drawing fouls around the basket.

Yea that’s been bugging me too. PJ needs to quit chunking up 3 balls. That’s not going to win is games.

If he's making 40% of his threes it will win us games for sure.***

In our last 3 games PJ has made 4 of 18 from three and is .352 on the season. He didn't go to the FT line 1 #### time last night.
You keep your spinning theme going though.

Until two games ago, PJ was shooting 40% from three. I am happy for any player shooting that well to have the green light.
PJ is clearly in a slump. It happens. But he still needs to keep shooting.
However, I would also argue that he has a tendency to be overly reliant on the three ball, and should instead get inside more frequently for some shots in the paint. Brownell has talked to him about this, and is actually pretty upset recently with PJ's lack of aggressiveness inside.
If PJ doesn't improve on this, then we will have a problem. For now, it's a nothingburger.

PJ working on NBA game

He's a non-factor in the post recently...how many post-ups or dunks has he had lately? Just like the NBA, absolutely no defensive presence anymore. IF HE PLAYED AS HARD AS SCHEF, then he'd be doing himself and the team a favor. Don't be fooled, he isn't the only one to blame, Girard is out of control like he's playing H-O-R-S-E on FastForward & he couldn't guard his own shadow. Chase Hunter has no business running the PG position, but then, there's no Brownell offensive approach to run. It just looks like the team took a team vote to just go out and play for exercise instead of winning after New Years. CBB has no ability to lead or motivate a herd of gerbils and needs to go immediately.

Brownell called him out again last night in the post game interview. I think PJ was sitting right next to him. He’s trying to get PJ to play with more effort in the post but the message doesn’t seem to be getting through. Both coach and player have me ticked off right now.

PJ can shoot the 3, he is just on a little cold streak. As they say when a basketball player goes cold, the only way to get out of it is to keep shooting.
It will come around.

His bread and butter is the inside power game not 3 balls.

know nothing about basketyball, you football neanderthal . . .
See - he's inside and then goes outside and chucks it up - they never expect it - unless they've watched 2 to 3 minutes of film on us for the last 4 games.
If PJ isn't a SERIOUS threat in the post every time down, jumping out to the perimeter is nearly pointless.

He's upset because PJ is not fighting harder for inside position and getting more shots closer to the basket.
But he is totally fine with PJ taking some outside shots. After all, PJ had been shooting close to 40% on three pointers this year. That's typically the kind of player you want to be taking some threes, regardless of position.

you typing out lies is just that - more misrepresentation by a member of The Cult.
No matter how you twist it - I am NEVER happy about Clemson losing in anything.
That's why our doorknob guy has to go. YOU guys must be the ones that are thankful when we lose - or you like it alot . . . . like when we are in the ACC Tourney or in the NIT . . . stuff like that. And we lose as favorites / embarrass ourselves - end the season with absolute huge thuds - with that ONE exception - don't forget to hang ya'lls collective hat on that ONE time . . . .
Weird that you like us losing as much as you do.
Hey WJ - does me calling our doorknob guy a doorknob count as me calling posters on here names ? I didn't know our guy was on here . . . but add doorknob to my above list of HIGHLY offensive name calling I participate in / instigate, please.

His frustration is misplaced in my opinion. He should be unhinged at the play of Chase Hunter...His inability to score and play defense! He has been absolutely atrocious!

TRUTH!!!! Hunter Bros. both play completely out of control, especially when driving for contested layups and/or short jumpers. They obviously had a backboard up in their driveway as kids.......with no rim or basket on it, because neither of these boys has a clue about finishing a shot.

I think we can say the same about Girard. It’s bad enough he’s cold from out deep, but he keeps getting his shot rejected under the basket as well. All of the guards need to do better getting the ball inside to Sheff, Hall, or RJ. Alternately, keep distributing to Wiggins. He’s the one guy knocking down jump shots right now. Instead, our guards are turning over the ball. Almost forgot Beadle’s turnover ability in literally 3 mins of playing time. It’s so frustrating!

We are seeing that PJ is not strong enough to successfully fight for inside position against the bigger, stronger inside players we have seen recently like Bacot. He is also not strong enough to defend these guys and that is why he frequently gets into foul trouble against them. We are relying on Schieffelin and Godfrey and now Leyte for strong play in the paint. We are also missing Middlebrooks. PJ really doesn’t look to be any stronger than he was as a freshman. Maybe we have developmental issues on the basketball team. Don’t you claim that to be a coaching issue when trolling the football coaches and program?

The development of PJ and Schieffelin has been outstanding.

They have both improved considerably since they arrived to Clemson.
Godfrey is only a sophomore, but he has clearly improved a lot as well.
It would be great to have Middlebrooks still, but he wanted to go somewhere he could play more. I don't blame him.
I don't think strength is an issue for PJ. He is 6'10" and 240 lbs. He has a solid build. Bacot is 6'11" and 240 lbs. Bacot outplayed him, but I don't think it was an issue of strength.

him to do to win games. Putting up good numbers from beyond the arc is in his best interest.
Jay Bilas was imploring Clemson to get PJ down low and work through him with his size advantage against a guard heavy lineup. Brad heard it. Everybody heard it.
Surprised Brad can't get him to do what this team needs from him.

I totally agree.... not enough inside looks and getting their bags in foul trouble as well. We have other guys that can shoot the 3.
