Williamson from Louisville was a 4 star in hs but has been pretty disappointing at Louisville, but maybe some of the uncertainties with assistant coaches being let go and then HC Chris Mack resigning had an impact.
6-6 small forward who could get a lot of Collins' minutes.

I find it interesting that Clemson has contacted Thomas from Colorado State. He is a 6-9 power forward so sounds like maybe either one of the two freshmen big guys will be in the portal, or one of the two forwards Godfrey or Chauncey Wiggins might ask out of their letters of intent. Thomas is from NC:

It feels like you are trying to stir up drama.

We can use another big body. We currently have Hall, Middlebrooks, Schieffelin, and Wiggins. Adding a transfer big would give us 5. That’s reasonable to use 5 scholarships out of 13 on PF and C - 40% of the positions on the court.
Godfrey is more of a small forward.

Thank you! Can’t believe I forgot about him.

Assuming we play him more at the 3 position, I still think a transfer big works.

Thanks as always. I'd like to hear judge Keller take on these guys. Just saying.

I like the idea of Williamson from Louisville.

The raw talent is certainly there. He was a very highly touted recruit coming out of high school. He just needs to be in a better situation than he has been in.
I also like Will Richard from Belmont. Nice size for a guard and would have three years of eligibility. Played at a good program in Atlanta (Woodward Academy).
I would also like to see us pursue Jason Roche from the Citadel. Excellent shooter with good size.

Am I the only one that thought this was about Football transfers that we might be interested in? I do admit that I certainly care and hope that BB does bring in the best transfer possible since we can’t recruit in basketball.

I put it under basketball heading, but next time I'll title it basketball transfers if that helps out.

No need to do anything different. I don’t look at headings and I like choosing what I want to read and don’t get disappointed if something is not what I thought it would be. I appreciate the insight and am very interested in potential BB transfers because I believe if everything works out meaning no surprises Clemson basketball should make the field of 68 next year.

Would the Brad be interested? Another undersized guard, which he seems to favor. Coach Paris has already lost 6 players to the portal!

He doesn’t favor undersized guards.

He does recognize the need for shooters though. Unfortunately, there aren’t a lot of 6’4”-6’7” guards that shoot the three well. The ones that are typically have five stars next to their name and go to UNC, Duke, etc.
P.S. Clyde Trapp was a taller guard, as is Chauncey Gibson, one of our incoming guards this summer.

Hunter Tyson isn't fast enough to play the 2 guard position.
Mar 30, 2022, 3:25 PM

He would not be able to stick with fast guards on defense.
I hope you aren't serious in suggesting that.
He's fine at the 3 position, and can play the 4 as well. But he is not a backcourt guy.
