I wonder why we didnt see any jumbo package stuff during the DJ tenure. It seemed like we used Wilkins and Dexter Lawrence frequently to move the ball in short yardage situations and goal line. It just dawned on me that I dont remember seeing that over the last 2 years when big cinco was around. Maybe Riley will implement some of that if he watches tape from the Trevor/ Deshaun era.

I think that was more about the "Christian Wilkins era" than it was about any specific QB. Wilkins is a freak athlete...you can't take just any DL and expect the same.

I get that for sure. Wilkins is on my short list of fav tigers of all time. But one would think a big bodied, quick defensive lineman could bore a hole for Shipley. Myles Murphy could have fit this bill

he took way to many plays off on the DL. I wish he would have played to his potential while at Clemson.

Thinking it might have something to do with the health of the DL. The power rangers seemed pretty much unscathed throughout their Clemson career. Probably forgetting some injuries, but we've seemed snake bit of late.

Yes we have. We had many years where injuries seemed to be at a minimum. For about 3 years now the injuries have come regularly. Hopefully we're about to get past that trend.

I hadnt considered that, but thats likely a good reason. I imagine Streeter would have called for such a package in some short yardage situations. Who tell him no, Dabo or Goodwin? lol

Yeah maybe we did and I just dont remember. But heck it was a staple at one time. When 42 & 90 hit the field you knew we were bout to put it in the zone. Go ahead and celebrate
