Bro, you are insufferable. He very well could be a go to receiver for them but he’s battling for a roster spot. He’s being featured because the starting WRs don’t play preseason to avoid injury. I love Clemson but get a grip dude.

I mostly agree with your comments. However if he’s showing out everyday in preseason and has a good bond with the QB, it puts him in the position to take advantage of his opportunities!

Who’s going to be their WR1 then? Not TE, but WR? They don’t have Tyreek Hill anymore, and most of the passing last year was just spread out. Not really any alpha receivers on their rdepth chart Rendrick.
I keep up with this stuff.
With Clemson WR performance around the league, I like my chances saying Justyn Ross will at least be in the starting rotation.
But, if he’s consistently taking 1st team reps, and getting posted everyday making those catches, they’re going to start him. He’s Mahomes’ favorite target right now. He said that.

Mahomes loves Kadarius Toney. Toney is faster too. He was a combine freak. Toney is supposed to be the main guy where Ross would fit. Ross might be great, but Tony is supposed to be the starter as of now.

There’s 2 Wide WR spots. Just like Bengals with Chase and Higgins. Toney and Ross will play.
Toney is a slot receiver. He smaller than most. So he’s used like the slot. And will be. So for TD passes they will definitely use Ross. Not even to mention Justyn’s slot ability though running the middle.

Toney and Ross as of now are in the same position. Ross is projected 3rd string at that spot. Toney is a deep threat as well according to coaches, although he was more in the slot, but he just getting into his career. We will see where they end up though.

Valdez scantling (sp?) and sky Moore along with Toney…. Ross has a chance to get PT and be the third WR, and like you I know how good he can be. But the NFL is a monster, give JR some time, let him make the team first. We watched this with Cain for years with the colts and eagles and he’s just now getting a real chance after 6+ years. The highlights are their version of hard knocks, you feature the up a comer, let’s just hope he makes the team and go from there.

I think Streeter made a huge mistake putting him at slot. He's not built to be a slot receiver and he is a natural deep threat receiver.
