why can't UGA develop talent? Kirby doesn't understand

offense, so they're turning into Auburn by having to rely on other schools teaching talented QBs how to play College Football, then luring them to Athens with promises of Championships(lol). Got to feel bad for all those 5* QBs already on the roster that fell for it right out of High School. At least Justin Fields headed for the hills as fast as he could, and is now a Heisman Co-Favorite for 2020.

For Kirby to be a good DC, and I believe that he is, he would have to understand how it works on the offensive side of the ball. So personally, I wouldn't say that Kirby don't understand offense bc as the Bama DC, he done a pretty good job at slowing them down, and stopping a lot of them, and he couldn't have done that by not understanding the offense!!!

In four seasons as a head coach, Kirby has had three seasons with no more than 1 regular-season loss (or tie). That's more than Nick Saban, dabo, Dan Mullen, Urban Meyer, Ed Orgeron, Steve Spurrier, Danny Ford, and Frank Howard had in their first four years COMBINED.
Wonder what would happen if he ever did start to understand this thing?

I hope someday that you understand that beating all the teams in the SEC LEAST is nothing to brag about. It's like playing in the Sun Belt conference. They don't call it the SEC LEAST for nothing.

You understand that the SEC East was 6-2 against the ACC last year, don't you? And the ACC was 1-1 vs the Sun Belt, btw.

You understand that UGA was 0-1 against a 4-win UofSC last year, too, right?

UGA has a choice to stay in the SEC or they can get the heck out, but stop suggesting that's the main reason that UGA is the premier choker program in the country along with Oklahoma. Bama and Saban don't use that excuse, so why do UGA fans?

None of those programs were in Georgia's shape when 'da Kirb' took over. He was handed keys to a Ferrari in need of a tune-up. The others you listed had sedans...in various stages of disrepair. Heck, a few were up on blocks, under the oak tree. No comparison...whatsoever.

You were kept out of the CFB playoffs by losing to a 4-8, Will Muschamp coached, South Carolina team playing in Athens with their 3rd string QB.
No number of single loss regular seasons will ever be able to over come that simple fact.

When inferior Texas team beat up superior UGA team on 1/1/19

Kirby Smart was doing his best Jerry Reed imitation ... UGA has been loaded personnel-wise, and Smart's inability to coach QB's has been kind of a big deal especially with Fromm getting worse every year. It's a major weakness along with UGA conservative play with a lead that kept UGA as a bridesmaid. Smart needs to figure it out, and the Wake QB who threw for 40 vs. Clemson last year is not the solution.
Kirby needs Coach Klein's playbook ...

He's better in every regard than Muschamp, but they pretty much have the same strengths, weaknesses, and philosophies.

Kirby Smart is a buffoon. It isn't complicated. Great DC?

He had Nick Saban standing over his shoulder AT ALL times. How many DCs has Saban had, and they look pretty dang stellar on D every single year. Smart is an over emotional pretender. A smooth talking potty mouth with a little boy haircut gets exposed at some point, and he has, because he's not a thinker or a leader. Georgia recruits itself for the most part and the games they've lost has absolutely been because of the HC, not the talent. The guy is a fraud.

I think Kirby Smart develops talent quite well. All you have to do is look at all the UGA players in the NFL. He is also an outstanding recruiter and very good defensive coach. He deserves credit where credit is due.
The reason they haven't gotten the results on the field one would expect is because he is too conservative with play-calling on offense. The lack of creativity has caused them to lose some games they should have been able to close out.
The question is will he adapt and improve. That remains to be seen.
