Looked At Some Old Video Of The Players We Had Under Tommy West ---

I can also use Hatfield's time as well because it all blended together. I was looking at the body types of the players...and H to the H no ... I'm not gayyy....but the body types we had back then looked like these dudes could run right through the Great Wall of China. Though times and the conditioning and speed of these athletes have changed.......I would like to see these guys coming in develop their bodies to look like actual football players. We need to really combine that size and speed aspect better in the weight room and training periods.

I mean back then Patrick Sapp was somebody that looked like he would take your head off.
Raymond Preister looked like he was not going to be denied 3 yards on any given run. The offensive lines looked like they were definitely going to make their presence absolutely known.

We're going to need a little of that old school way to get through the new format of the regular season as well as a hopeful shot at one of the 12 spots of the playoffs.

The new talent is coming in.
GET THEIR BODIES AND MIND RIGHT BATSON!!!

ANNND.... The Assistance of a needle in the ole buttocks and our guys will be looking like the 80s and 90s Tigers in no time. I say that because back then anabolic steroid use in collegiate and pro-sports was rampant and the league didn't really start testing for it until the late 90s.

Our country won't go on forever, if we stay soft as we are now. There won't be any America because some foreign soldiery will invade us and take our women and breed a hardier race.

You forget that Patrick Sapp started as a QB? Maybe he should have always been a LB or DE.

I was gonna start a thread for this but it's kind of related.

In the Tiger defenses of the 80s and 90s we had guys that ran the bandit spot. The hybrid LB/Safety spot Simmons really perfected most recently. Does the current staff still refer to it as "bandit" or do they call it "star" like some of the other squads in the southern section of the country?

Hatfield did ok with Dannys players. He couldn’t recruit his way out of a wet paper bag. Maybe Jerry Jones hired him to help him out. Not in football of course.
