...in the numbers is very obviously "fixed".
ESecPN teams were WAAAAAAAY overrated for the entire 2012 football season and there should be an "ANTI-TRUST LAWSUIT" filed against the monopolization & "fixing" of college football by the ESPN CFB Mafia!

I wonder how much $$$ it costs to get those formulas "adjusted" to move your whole conference above everyone else in the NCAA.

Although I'm pretty sure SEC homer's wouldn't exactly feel the same by having to actually earn their ranking. SEC=the perpetually over-ranked (this season aside) Notre Dame.

there's no where else for them to be ranked
there was about 13 teams with 2 or LESS losses from BCS Conferences.
I've thought UF was a fraud from the begining, but they got some people EARLY in the season and won.......not pretty, but they won...........same with LSU. The problem i think is that the top teams outside the SEC had some BAD losses. FSU lost to friggin NCST. FSU and Clemson BOTH Lost to their SEC rivals.
I see what you're saying about how the SEC is not as good as they are made out to be, but there aren't many other teams you can justify to be ranked higher.........when you get down to the 3-4 loss teams.......they don't deserve to be in consideration for top 15
so while i don't agree with the SEC hype...especially this year.......it's hard to argue their ranking. This year was an odd year IMO I think the 2 best teams play tonight Oregon and Kstate, but they screwed themselves losing when and how they did.

I see the point you're making, but eSECpn created an artificial "log-jam" at the very beginning of the season by pre-ranking 6 (SIX - total BS) s.e.c. teams in the TOP 10 so that they didn't have to penalize them for poor performances and could over-reward them for lackluster wins.

all those SEC teams "at the top" had 2 or less losses..........FSU and Clemson both lost to their rivals which woulda knocked 2 down..........bottomline is there's no where else to rank them

Manziel and TAMU showed what a good O can do in the SEC and if they had a better D, they'd have exposed it even more. Manziel racked up those Heisman numbers on SEC opposition. How could that be?

Then I guess Clemson isn't either because we lost to SC. Sc won some games and lost some too. Unfortunately, we didn't beat them of FSU or we could have played in the NC game. Oh well, wait until next year.

but they beat us #12 at the time? on the road AT NIGHT
they beat #7 UGA
whether you want to give them credit or not.......bottomline is WE got them into the top 10
Oklahoma MIGHT be the only arguement to take their place in the top 10.......MIGHT.........but FSU, OrSt, Clemson, NIU DO NOT deserve to be ranked higher than SCar............there's no place for them other than the top 10

...by the same logic used all season to float eSECpn teams to the top --- Clemson's #14 ranked team won close game over LSU's #6 ranked team while SCar's #10 ranked team struggled to barely defeat Michigan's #18 ranked team.
Our win over a much HIGHER ranked team is far more impressive than their escaping a loss to a much LOWER ranked team!
Just the facts...at the end of the year CLEMSON IS A BETTER TEAM THAN SCar!!!

ya can't face the FACT that SCar SHOULD be ranked higher
they came into OUR building, at night, with their 2nd string QB and beat us by double digits for a 4th straight YEAR
and while michigan was missing their best player.......SCar was missing their best OFFENSIVE player
SCar had 2 quality wins during the regular season
we had ZERO.......1 counting the bowl
