Watched the tape of last year’s FSU game last night. Can’t wait to see Rodgers get back into the slot!! He terrorized the noles last year.

No mention of Cornell Powell...just an oversight, or something more?

What I heard Jeff say was, "when we don't complete the pass, I'm trying to figure it out", not, when we don't compete! I believe that makes more since, as this time of year I don't see these guys not competing on every opportunity! Going to be interesting to see how soon Amari is back. Talk I've heard is it could be Sept. I know they won't rush him back, he'll be back when he's ready!

Love Overton but Renfrow or Amari Rogers would

be more effective against safeties.
Another 6’4” guy looks great on paper only.

I like that matchup against any safety in our league period. Overton is due for his breakout year, he is very talented and my understanding is he worked like he’s never worked in the weight room and studying his position. He’s going to be a breakout player this year.

Exactly this is his money year ?????? he’ll be prepared knowing what’s on the line. Now he can’t say the opportunity wasn’t there as a Senior

Just thought it’s silly to put so much emphasis on height in the slot.

I wouldn't worry too much about who starts in the WR slots

They rotate out alot. Backups will get their chances. I think this is more about getting reps for Ngata and Ladson out on the edges.

Yeah, I have my doubts about a 6'4" slot reciever vs shorter, quicker, w/ better lateral agility-in the slot.

I think that depends on down and distance. I think it gives up a little in the short passing game, but allows us to stretch the field even more. There is a give and take, and we'll adjust accordingly.

Also, Diondre might be tougher to take down after the catch.
