This may have already been posted, but I saw an article on an LSU site that they have offered Lincoln Riley $96 million over eight years, so average of $12 million/year. Unbelievable if true.

With Oklahoma set to enter the SEC I don't know if its a better fit either way. The only thing is if it is LSU it will give Lincoln A shorter amount of time to see if he does have what it takes to make a name for himself in the SEC.

There are two rumors on the LSU board, and on media sites that track the carousel.

1. Riley has been offered 8 year, 96M contract and will accept it.

2. Riley will not accept it and is not coming to LSU.

The rumors are about 50/50. Riley has given a denial, but not nearly as strongly as Jimbo.

If Mel Tucker is worth 9.5M a year, then Riley may be worth 12M a year in today's market.

Wow, The money is getting crazy for these top tier coaches. Ka-Ching.....

Riley will get a raise either way now by going or staying at Oklahoma. Most LSU fans want Baylor HC Dave Aranda but USC wants him too. Matt Campbell may be a darkhorse.

Oklahoma Ath Dept is/was making about the same as Alabama .... in the B12. I don't see that LSU can buy away OU's coach like that because OU has the cash to match anyone.

Baton Rouge isn’t bad. Great food. I would love to get a contract like that, then get fired a couple of years later, take the buyout and move back home.
