Wife hates my big, beautiful beard. I think I'll come home tomorrow, shave, put the hair into a sack, and leave it in the kitchen with a card. She'll see the sack of beard hair and fall to her knees at the gesture.
Then she'll let me start eating at the Y again.

would make fun of me when I tried to grow a beard. At some point in time in the past few years, I grew the most perfect black beard. It has since turned grey in spaces and I threatened to shave it the other day and she protested. I assume this means she likes it now.
I might shave everything but a mustache, just to see what happens.

Flowers.
Oh and a house for her to live in, with AC and heat, and insurance. Furniture to sit and sleep on. Hot running water, electricity, and toilets that flush. A refrigerator full of food. A car, with gas to run it and insurance on it. A cell phone. A closet full of clothes. Health insurance.
