MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT on my future

I grew up in Athens. Started going to UGA games when I was 6. Go to all home games.
Lot of memories.
Went to graduate school at UGA. Noticed the change during that time period.
UGA had become increasingly liberal. My seemingly daily battles with my professors were non stop. Brain dead wacko liberal loons. I made As, but I become very disillusioned with higher education.
Athens today is a crap hole. Cal Berkeley East. An outdoor zoo. Freak show. Literally.
Through the years I started having more Clemson friends. Started going to Clemson games when UGA was away. I liked it.
This is what I am REALLY talking about — I noticed the typical Clemson person was more salt of the earth. Blue collar. Hard working and honest and no BS. Not the arrogant elitist type so many UGA people are. The Clemson campus, while somewhat liberal, was still very pleasant.
My ties to UGA run deep, all the way back to my childhood. Treasured memories in Sanford Stadium. Seen some amazing players and teams. Clemson included. Epic battles with Clemson going back to the 1977 Clemson 7-6 win over Georgia and I was crushed. Walked out of the stadium crying.
Not to ramble, but I just am kinda fed up now. I have ZERO allegiance to The University of Georgia now. Lot of good memories and lifelong classmates from there, but I cannot stomach Athens and what the institution has become.
My question is - would the Clemson people accept me if I became a Clemson fan? Would I fit in?
Appreciate your thoughts.

From personal experience I can offer this advice.
1. Stay a Dawg. Embrace the football team, not the politics of the school.
2. Appreciate the Clemson football team for the great program with the outstanding leader, Dabo, they are.
3. Don't spend your time posting here about UGA. It's a Clemson board.
4. Don't make negative posts about Clemson. Even if you think their hoops coach is horrible, don't say it. Not your job. Let the Clemson fans say it. Let them argue about it. You stay out of it.
5. Don't make political posts, no matter how strongly you feel or how much you want to voice your opinion and viewpoint. Make those posts on the UGA board.
6. Remember you are a guest here. Guests don't insult the host. Be thankful for their hospitality.
7. Have fun having good, solid discussions on football. Don't spend time getting into "My team is great; your's is horrible" discussions.
It'll take a while, but if you are sincere and not just trolling, they will welcome and even embrace you.
On the other hand, if you are just trolling, go join a GT or SC board.

We even have Republicans baselessly accusing other Republicans of cheating in elections now ( see Nevada). The discrediting of democratic elections is the first step towards authoritarianism, which is where the Republican party is heading. It is very scary, and this fear leads to anger, which leads to hatred. This is the pure definition of conservative, fearing change.
10,000 years ago, conservatives did not exist because they would not have survived if their environments changed They would starve to death, while liberals would find more innovative ways to hunt and gather food. In fact, I am pretty sure a liberal invited fire, and it was seen as the devil's work by conservatives and took another 5090 years to cook food without fear of retribution by make-believe spirits.. Liberals also invented Agriculture, a conservative would never think this far ahead and would starve pulling potatoes out of the frozen winter ground.
I could list a lot of other things, but your fears and hatred are unfounded. This is not your world any more gramps, you do not get to decide what is appropriate, you have passed your prime and should feel lucky that food comes in cans now.

games in Athens in the 70’s when I was a kid. I don’t know what the fans look like now but if there ever was a definition for blue collar fans some/lots of UGA fans would be pictured in the dictionary beside the definition of blue collar!!!
It’s obviously changed quite a bit since then.
